Sensei Moro’s quests in Roblox’s The Forge start as a tutorial in Stonewake’s Cross, teaching mining, forging, gear, combat, enhancements, and runes. Community guides describe later Moro objectives in other regions as ore-collection and advanced-mining tasks. Use your in-game quest log for the live requirements: published guides differ in detail, and the game’s quest requirements and rewards can change.
Where to start Sensei Moro’s quests
Find Sensei Moro in Stonewake’s Cross and speak with him to begin. The early quest reference lists equipping the Stone Pickaxe and mining six ores as an opening task. Treat that quantity as a reported objective, not a guarantee that every current version uses the same requirement.
Community guides describe an introductory sequence of 12 quests, ending with a conversation with the Wizard. Another guide associates that interaction with obtaining a Portal Tool for access to a later region. The exact sequence and unlock conditions may change, so follow the objective text currently shown in your quest log.
What the tutorial quests teach
The opening chain introduces the main early-game systems rather than focusing only on mining. Across the reported sequence, Moro’s tasks cover:
#1 Best Overall
- Metacritic’s #5 best reviewed PC game of 2023, now coming to consoles in its definitive form.
- Fully voice-acted by the impeccable Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight.
- A branching narrative where what you say and what you believe determines both who you are and how the story unfolds.
- Hand-penciled art - every background and sprite is drawn traditionally with pencil and paper by Ignatzwinning graphic novelist Abby Howard.
- No, the Princess isn't a cosmic horror. She's just an ordinary human Princess, and you can definitely slay her as long as you put your mind to it.
- Mining ores and using upgraded pickaxes.
- Forging weapons and armor.
- Equipping or selling equipment.
- Fighting enemies.
- Enhancing equipment and applying runes.
Complete the action specified by each quest, then return to the quest giver or other character indicated by the game. If a task does not progress, check that you are using the required tool or interacting with the correct equipment or enemy; the in-game objective is the best guide to its current conditions.
How later Sensei Moro quests differ
After the introductory chain, community guides place further Moro objectives in later regions, including Forgotten Kingdom and Frostspire Expanse. The reported tasks shift toward collecting named, rarer ores and mining advanced formations rather than learning basic crafting and combat.
Rank #2
- All new story mode: Adding more lore, quests and a story-based end goal to the game
- Survive together: Expand and optimize your village on the back of a living creature, either as a helper or a parasite
- Keep the balance: Weigh the needs of the settlers against those of Onbu, facing tough decisions around every corner.
- New technologies: Find and research remnants of long-lost technology, but use them wisely, as progress can be a double-edged sword.
- Overcome great odds: Keep your small village alive through poisonous spores, merciless weather, bloodsucking parasites, and more.
Reported mining targets
Later objective lists mention Basalt Rocks, Basalt Cores, Basalt Veins, and Volcanic Rocks, as well as collecting named ores. Which targets appear, how many are required, and where the quest becomes available can depend on the current game version and progression.
Before travelling, check the quest log for the objective and region. The guides do not establish a definitive, current set of level gates or locations for every quest, and the reported regional details are not fully consistent.
Rank #3
- An original game system which forces players to make difficult choices and live with the consequences. Stunning and unique visuals drawn in two different styles of pixel art.
- Saeko has entrusted you with the role of supervisor. In the day, you distribute items to the little people and interact with them, keeping the group together. However, you are no ordinary supervisor.
- Each little person has two stats: Health and Appeal. These stats determine whether they will live or die. Give items to the little people in the drawer to manage their stats and make a certain...wish...of Saeko's come true.
- A soundtrack heavily influenced by future garage and breakcore, composed by the developer himself.
- Colossal Edition includes physical copy of the game, illustrated inner coversheet, four chipboard standees, soundtrack download card redeemable on computer/smartphone, and holographic sticker.
Rewards and progression unlocks
Community sources report XP and cash rewards for Moro quests, and associate completion of the introductory chain with a Portal Tool or later-region access. They do not establish a complete, reliable reward list: the Sensei Moro wiki marks several advanced rewards as TBA, while another guide gives amounts for selected quests. Do not assume an amount or unlock is guaranteed from a guide; check the live quest reward and progression prompts in-game.

- Use the quest log as the authority for your session. It shows the active objective and can differ from older community lists.
- Confirm your region and progression. Later Moro tasks are associated with other regions, but the precise gates may change.
- Re-read the objective after an update or unlock. Requirements and rewards can be revised, so old counts and reward tables may no longer match.
- Do not rely on a guide’s full quest count as a fixed rule. The 12-quest figure is a community-reported tutorial sequence, not immutable official documentation.
The available accounts are community guides rather than official game documentation. For the current route, objective, and reward, the live game should take precedence.
