The Haunted Floating Festival was a limited-time Disney Dreamlight Valley event held from October 22 through November 11, 2025. It is no longer a permanently accessible island in 2026, but this complete archival guide preserves every puzzle solution, unlock date, material clue, quiz answer, and reward.
Important status update: The Haunted Floating Festival was a limited-time Disney Dreamlight Valley event that ran from October 22 through November 11, 2025. It is not a permanent realm or an active questline in 2026. This page is therefore an archival walkthrough for the event’s five puzzles, answers, ingredients, locations, and rewards. Later Winter and Spring Floating Festivals are separate events and do not reopen the Haunted Festival’s challenges or rewards.
What was the Haunted Floating Festival?
The Haunted Floating Festival introduced a temporary Halloween-themed Floating Island. During the event, players explored the decorated island, collected special materials, followed environmental clues, and solved five puzzles. The challenges did not all appear at once: two additional puzzle areas opened on later dates during the event.
The island had a few unusual restrictions. It could not be redecorated in Edit Mode, some Royal Tools were unavailable, and players could not submit DreamSnaps from the festival grounds. To leave, players could interact with the island’s wishing well or open the map and choose to return to the Valley.

How players entered the island
While the event was active, there were two intended ways to enter the Haunted Floating Island:
- Find the event portal in the Plaza and interact with it.
- Open the Event tab and select the Haunted Floating Festival’s Teleport option.
The island was not accessed through a normal character-realm door. Because the event window ended on November 11, 2025, these entry methods should not be expected to appear for the Haunted Festival now.

If you played during the event, the Potion Brewer’s House and Haunted Mansion were scheduled to become enterable at midnight on their respective unlock dates. The five puzzles were not intended to be available immediately on October 22.

- Feed the ghostly fox Zero his favorite food.
- Use pumpkin clues to solve the Combination Pillar.
- Gather three types of offerings for the Terror-rific Tree.
- Place four ingredients into the Potion Brewer’s House cauldron.
- Answer four questions from the talking Haunted Armor in the Haunted Mansion.

Full Haunted Floating Festival puzzle solutions
1. Ghostly “Zero” Fox solution
Objective: Feed Zero his favorite food.
Answer: Give Zero a Blue Skele-Fish.
Search the festival island for the event fishbones, particularly around Zero’s grave and the nearby grounds. Treat this as a search area rather than a guaranteed single spawn point: event materials may appear in slightly different places or require a respawn.
Once Zero has been fed the Blue Skele-Fish, the puzzle awards the Clawed Foot Tub furniture item.
2. Combination Pillar solution
Objective: Set the symbols beneath the four numbered pillars in the correct order.

Correct order:
- Spider web
- Bat
- Witch hat
- Black cat
Rotate or change the symbols beneath the numbered pillars until they match that sequence. The pumpkins around the island provide the positional clues used to reconstruct the combination.
The reward is the Haunted Festival Dress.
3. Terror-rific Tree solution
Objective: Find the objects requested by the howling, cursed tree and offer them to it.

The three required collectible categories and useful search landmarks are:

A book near the tree provides clues about the requested offerings. The landmarks above are search areas, not fixed coordinates; island layouts and respawn timing can affect exactly where a collectible appears.
Completing the offering puzzle awards the Terror-rific Tree furniture item.

Unlock date: October 29, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. local time.

Objective: Read the clue inside the house and place the required quantities into the cauldron.
Add all four of the following:
- 1 Haunted White Rose
- 2 Haunted Skeleton Fish
- 1 Catfish
- 1 Swordfish
Make sure you distinguish the Haunted Skeleton Fish required for this recipe from the Blue Skele-Fish used to feed Zero. They are separate event objectives and should not be treated as interchangeable items.

5. Haunted Mansion quiz answers
Unlock date: November 5, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. local time.
The Haunted Mansion was inspired by the Haunted Mansion attraction at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort. Inside, interact with the talking Haunted Armor and answer four questions about the island and event.
Spoiler answers:
- How many blue pumpkins are on the island? — Six.
- Which animal is hiding inside the Scary Surprise Box? — A cat.
- How many graves are in the Haunted Floating Festival? — Seven.
- What is Zero’s favorite food? — Blue Skele-Fish.
Answer all four questions correctly to receive a Haunted Pouch. Open the pouch from your inventory to claim the final reward: Haunted Armor.

Can you still play the Haunted Floating Festival?
No. The published event period was October 22 to November 11, 2025, and the Haunted Floating Island was temporary. There is no basis for describing it as permanently accessible in 2026.
The later Winter Floating Festival and Springtime Floating Festival use the broader Floating Festival concept, but they are separate seasonal events. Their appearance does not restore the Haunted Festival’s Zero puzzle, Haunted Mansion quiz, recipes, or rewards.
