Will the game still work offline after service ends?
Genius Sonority’s official FAQ says a Nintendo Account and internet connection are required for normal gameplay. It identifies Offline Catch as the only mode available without an internet connection. Those are the game’s current requirements; the FAQ does not establish whether Offline Catch, saves or any other content will work after service termination. No post-shutdown playability details are confirmed in the available primary sources.
Do you need to pay to finish the game?
No. The developer says players can play through to the end for free. Jewels can help with progression, but can also be earned in the game. The developer described the title as a free download with some paid items in its July 22, 2024 release announcement.

Is Nintendo Switch Online required?
No. Genius Sonority’s FAQ says a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. That is separate from the online connection and Nintendo Account required for normal gameplay.
Are purchased Jewels refundable if service ends?
The FAQ’s general refund answer says the company does not accept refunds for paid items or purchased Jewels. Its general terms include legal exceptions but do not describe a shutdown-specific refund or claims process. No special process for unused Jewels has been confirmed, so do not assume one exists. The general terms do not provide closure-specific instructions.

Do saves and Jewels carry between Switch and Switch 2?
According to the FAQ, using the same Nintendo Account on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 shares save data, and claimed Jewels are shared between those console versions. The versions cannot be played simultaneously. The FAQ also says that if a network issue prevented a purchase from being claimed, players should claim it on the version where it was bought. These account and transfer details describe the current arrangement; they do not confirm what will happen to saves or currency after service ends.
