Thurrott published the page on November 8, 2024, and its teaser covers three separate subjects: additional AI in Outlook, a new Xbox game, and a game headed to PlayStation.
What this page is
This is an individual episode page in Thurrott.com’s The Sams Report series, not a conventional text-heavy news analysis. The page identifies Brad Sams as the author and presents an embedded YouTube video. Its full title is The Sams Report: A Surprise for Outlook, Xbox, and PlayStation.
You can find the original entry at Thurrott.com. The embedded player is identified by YouTube video ID wSbHcf2scXI.
What the episode says it covers
Outlook and additional AI
Thurrott’s synopsis says that Outlook is getting “more AI.” That establishes the subject, but not the specific feature. The page does not say whether Sams was discussing Copilot, writing assistance, summarization, search, scheduling, testing, a rollout, or a rumor. It also does not identify the Outlook edition, supported platforms, subscription requirement, or availability date.

A new Xbox game
The teaser says Xbox gets a new game. The written page does not name the title or explain whether “gets” means a new release, a reveal, a port, a remaster, a Game Pass addition, or another form of availability. Price, release timing, editions, Game Pass tier, and console-versus-PC status are not established there.
A game for PlayStation
The third item is described as a game that PlayStation “will get too.” That wording does not prove the game was an Xbox exclusive, a Microsoft-owned property, or a port of an Xbox title. The page provides no name, PlayStation generation, release date, price, or information about whether the item was a launch, announcement, future port, or service offering.

Why “A Surprise” does not identify one announcement
“A Surprise” is promotional teaser language. The page’s short synopsis groups three topics rather than describing one unified product announcement. Because the episode is primarily a video landing page, its visible text is not a transcript or detailed set of show notes. Specific claims should therefore be attributed to what Sams says in the video or checked against a first-party announcement.
Which date is correct?
Thurrott’s article page shows November 8, 2024. A podcast-indexing listing records November 7, 2024, which likely reflects the original audio release date or a time-zone difference. For the article itself, the clearest reference is that Thurrott published the episode page on November 8, 2024.

How to verify the episode’s details
- Open the original Thurrott page and watch the embedded episode.
- Note the exact names, dates, platforms, and wording Sams uses for each of the three segments.
- Check any Outlook claim against Microsoft or Microsoft 365 documentation, any Xbox claim against Xbox Wire or the relevant publisher, and any PlayStation claim against PlayStation Blog or the relevant publisher.
- Keep 2024 statements labeled as historical. Do not present the teaser as a current 2026 product, release, or availability announcement.
Why this episode should be read as historical
The episode was published in November 2024. Even if the video names a feature or game, an announcement, test, planned release, and currently available product are different states. Later official information would be needed to describe what ultimately launched, on which platforms, in which regions, and under what commercial terms.
