The Legend of Zelda: The Sealed Palace is a fan-made Ocarina of Time ROM hack described as a “spiritual sequel.” It is not an official Nintendo game. A 2023 Tech Times report credits Junnosuke9, Col0Korn, and Shoopey with the project and describes new locations and an adult Link adventure. Its current download availability and technical setup are not confirmed.
What is The Sealed Palace?
The Sealed Palace is a fan-made ROM hack built around The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Tech Times called it a “spiritual sequel” in a 2023 report, but that label describes a fan project—not a licensed or official sequel from Nintendo. The report credits Junnosuke9, Col0Korn, and Shoopey as its creators. Tech Times’ 2023 report
What does the fan project add?
According to Tech Times, players take the role of adult Link and explore locations not seen in the original game, including a snow-covered town and an underground cave system. The report says the graphics and sound follow Ocarina of Time’s style. It also describes the hack as comparable in length to Ocarina of Time; that is the article’s characterization, not a verified playtime measurement.
What do you need to play it?
The 2023 report says players need a copy of the Ocarina of Time ROM and an N64 emulator that works with their device. It does not establish which emulator versions or devices are compatible, explain a current patching process, or confirm that the hack can still be downloaded. The linked distribution page’s present availability is unconfirmed, so check the project’s own listing before making plans to play. Do not assume a Nintendo Switch Online game provides a ROM for use with this hack.

What is Nintendo releasing in 2026?
Nintendo’s official Switch 2 version is separate from the fan hack. Its store listing gives a November 5, 2026 release date and describes overhauled visuals, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, orchestral music, and updated controls. Nintendo also announced a physical edition, with special packaging for the first print run while supplies last. Neither release includes The Sealed Palace.
Nintendo’s announcement also mentions a playable ocarina and a HORI electronic ocarina planned for later in 2026, plus a 1,750-piece LEGO The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Link & Epona display model planned for spring 2027. These are optional products, not equipment needed to play the ROM hack. Nintendo’s announcement

The available reporting establishes what the project was described as and what it was said to add, but not whether its distribution page still works or which current emulator and patching steps are suitable. Treat The Sealed Palace as a fan project whose present access has not been confirmed, rather than a readily available release with verified setup instructions.
