Brookheights Legacy is a compact city experience for The Sims 4, not a set of additional worlds or a seamless replacement for the game’s world system. Its creator describes it as one 64×64 lot containing multiple venues, designed to give the city an open-world feel. The creator says the mod requires the City Living Expansion Pack.
How does Brookheights work?
The final, simplified version, Brookheights Legacy, gathers its venues onto a single 64×64 lot. The creator describes the setting as New York-inspired. Because the venues share that lot, this is a self-contained city-style experience rather than several separate maps or seamless travel across the game’s existing worlds.

You can set it up with the creator’s Brookheights Gallery lot or the creator’s save file. The Gallery lot requires custom content to be included in the Gallery filter.
What do you need before installing it?
- The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack: The creator lists this as a requirement.
- The Brookheights Legacy package: Download it from the creator’s Brookheights page.
- No older Brookheights version: The creator instructs players to remove any former Brookheights version before installing Legacy.
EA’s general guidance places mods in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. If a download is an archive, extract it rather than putting the compressed archive directly in the Mods folder. Follow the mod creator’s own instructions and check required packs; see EA community guidance on using mods and custom content.

How to install Brookheights
- Download the Brookheights Legacy package from Arnie’s Brookheights page.
- Remove any previous Brookheights files, then place the Legacy package in your Sims 4 Mods folder. If it arrives compressed, extract it first.
- Choose one of the creator’s two world-setup options:
- Gallery lot: Open the Gallery, search for creator ID
-ArniePlus, and enable “Include Custom Content” before downloading the Brookheights lot. - Save file: Use the save file provided by the creator, following the creator’s instructions for loading it.
- Gallery lot: Open the Gallery, search for creator ID
- Launch the game and check that the lot and its custom content appear as expected.
Is Brookheights compatible with the latest Sims 4 update?
Compatibility with the October 2026 version of The Sims 4 is not established by the available creator information. Arnie’s Brookheights page identifies June 24, 2022 as the latest Brookheights update. Arnie Studio’s mods archive later carried an October 11, 2024 announcement about the creator returning to Sims modding, but that announcement does not say Brookheights received a new build.
EA says it does not pre-screen, endorse, or support specific mods. Its guidance on mods, game updates, and error codes recommends checking compatibility information from the creator after game updates.

After a game patch
- Disable mods and launch the game to check whether it works without them.
- If mods or custom content are missing, exit without saving so you do not overwrite a save with that content absent.
- Check the creator’s site for compatibility information, then re-enable mods and relaunch when ready.
