Spoilers ahead, especially in the final section. In Get Junior, investigate the casino, arena, and Whoreson Junior’s house in any order, then follow Dijkstra’s lead to Junior’s Oxenfurt hideout. If you want to finish Gangs of Novigrad, do it before meeting Vernon Roche’s contact: reaching that meeting with the side quest still active can fail it. At the end, killing or sparing Junior changes later scenes, but the walkthrough reports the same 500 XP reward either way.
Start Get Junior at the bathhouse
Go to Sigi Reuven’s bathhouse in Novigrad. The meeting with Reuven (Dijkstra), Cleaver, and the King of Beggars is interrupted by an attack from Junior’s men. After the fight, speak with Dijkstra. He directs Geralt to investigate three places: Junior’s casino, arena, and house. The locations can be searched in any order.
Junior’s house has already been ransacked by Cleaver’s people, so expect little useful evidence there. The casino and arena offer more ways to approach the investigation, but both eventually involve fighting Junior’s men.
Before you meet Roche’s contact, finish Gangs of Novigrad
If you want to complete Gangs of Novigrad, resolve it before meeting Roche’s Redanian contact. The Gamer Guides walkthrough warns that reaching the contact while the side quest remains active causes it to fail. This is the key timing decision in the quest: explore the three locations first, but settle the side quest before advancing to the contact meeting.

Investigate the casino
At the casino, Geralt can try persuasion, pay a bribe, or fight his way inside. If he avoids provoking the room by naming Junior, there are Gwent players to challenge. The situation turns hostile as events escalate, so be ready for a fight whichever approach you take.
Free Rico, a halfling informant, during the casino investigation. Doing so triggers the side quest Honor Among Thieves. Evidence gathered here, along with other clues, points toward Junior’s Redanian connection.
Investigate the arena
Geralt can gain entry to the arena with a credential, use Axii (with Delusion), offer a bribe, or fight his way in. To enter the fight sequence, keep the conversation neutral and ask Igor for work.

Choose whether to spare Gustav
If Geralt spares Gustav, Gustav joins the later fights, but three dogs are added to the next fight sequence. That tradeoff means an extra ally and extra opponents; it does not avoid the combat.

Search for Igor’s evidence
After the battles, search Igor’s body and the chest near the throne. Then use Witcher Senses to locate the entrance to a secret room and find the letter inside.
Return to Dijkstra and follow Roche’s lead
Once you have searched the three locations, return to Dijkstra. He sends Geralt to Vernon Roche at the Temerian partisan hideout. Meet Roche near Oxenfurt, where his Redanian contact reveals the location of Junior’s hideout. This meeting also starts the separate favor thread Eye for an Eye.

Enter Junior’s Oxenfurt hideout
Go to Junior’s estate and fight through the guards. You can take a direct route or use the canal tunnel. To find the back way, follow the clue about how the guards entered and look for the tunnel from the canal. Once inside, make your way upstairs to confront Junior.
Spoilers: kill or spare Whoreson Junior?
Junior’s account leads into a playable Ciri flashback. After that sequence, Geralt decides whether to kill or spare him.
| Choice | Later result reported by the walkthrough | Immediate quest reward |
|---|---|---|
| Spare Junior | He later appears as a beggar in Novigrad during Payback. | 500 XP, according to Gamer Guides; the reward is reported as the same for either choice. |
| Kill Junior | A later encounter reveals that Dudu is impersonating Junior and running the business. The guide also notes an additional Axii opportunity on this path. | 500 XP, according to Gamer Guides; the reward is reported as the same for either choice. |
The choice changes the character’s later state and the associated scenes, rather than creating a major branching ending to the main quest. Spare him if you prefer the later beggar appearance; kill him if you prefer the outcome involving Dudu taking over the business.
