Three games are listed for Xbox on October 6, 2026: Gears of War: E-Day, Star Wars: Galactic Racer and KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I～III]. They offer three very different draws: a prequel campaign, Outer Rim racing and a collection of Kingdom Hearts games and DLC.
What Xbox games are out today?
Xbox Wire’s October 6 release schedule lists all three titles. The platform and access details differ, so check the relevant row before choosing:
| Game | What it is | Xbox platforms and access |
|---|---|---|
| Gears of War: E-Day | Campaign set 14 years before the first Gears of War, as Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago face the Locust emergence. | Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud; listed with PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate availability. |
| Star Wars: Galactic Racer | Runs-based, high-stakes racing set in the Outer Rim. | Xbox Series X|S. StarWars.com also lists PlayStation 5 and PC. |
| KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I～III] | A collection of three releases, including Kingdom Hearts III and its Re Mind DLC. | Xbox release listed for October 6; Xbox Wire’s schedule does not specify additional platform or subscription details. |
Is Star Wars: Galactic Racer out on Xbox?
Yes. Star Wars: Galactic Racer is listed for Xbox Series X|S on October 6, 2026. StarWars.com announced the worldwide launch date for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, and the Xbox Store has an official product page: Star Wars: Galactic Racer on Xbox Store.
The “highest-rated Star Wars release in over 20 years” framing needs a date and attribution rather than being treated as a settled record. GamesRadar reported on October 2, 2026 that the game had an 88 Metacritic score after 50 reviews, and ranked it fifth among Star Wars games at that time. The Metacritic page retrieved for this roundup displayed no score, so that report is a dated snapshot, not a currently verified live score or proof of an unqualified record.
