Old Wizard’s Eye is the Floor 14 boss of Taedal’s Tower, in the stage called “Out of Sight.” To survive its most dangerous attacks, use a Defensive Skill parry against the stunning Fury attack, jump the wave as it travels outward, and move out of marked danger zones before they resolve. Don’t try to block every pattern with the same response.
How to handle each Old Wizard’s Eye attack
Game8’s encounter guide describes several distinct telegraphs and responses. Watch the boss rather than relying on a single defensive move.

| Frontal eye attack | The boss marks the area in front of itself; the attack resolves after a delay and slows and damages you. | Leave the marked area before the attack lands. Game8 warns this attack can kill you. |
| Marked ground attack | A ground area is highlighted and damaged after a delay. | Move clear of the highlighted space before it resolves. |
These mechanics and responses are described in Game8’s Old Wizard’s Eye guide. The key distinction is timing: parry the Fury attack, jump the outward-moving wave, and use movement to escape marked areas.
A practical Staff/Wand approach
- Keep room to react. Stay positioned so you can see the boss’s telegraphs and move away from its front or a marked ground zone.
- Save your Defensive Skill response for Fury. When the Fury attack is telegraphed, use the Defensive Skill parry rather than treating every attack as something to block.
- Time the wave jump to its outward pass. The wave first moves inward toward the boss; jump when it turns and travels back out.
- Leave the frontal marked area early. Do not wait for the delayed eye attack to resolve, especially if your character has been slowed.
- Use mobility to reposition if useful. Destructoid names the Staff skill Smokescreen as a movement option. It can help you reposition, but the cited advice does not make it mandatory for Staff/Wand or establish it as the only viable setup. See Destructoid’s Old Wizard’s Eye guide.

Game8 identifies Old Wizard’s Eye as the Floor 14 boss in Taedal’s Tower, “Out of Sight.” LineaGaming also lists the encounter at Taedal’s Tower / Gate of Infinity, Floor 14, under the same stage name. Use Floor 14 of Taedal’s Tower to identify the fight; the mode label may differ between listings or versions. See Game8 and LineaGaming.

Access-level information is not consistent across those guides. Game8’s guide, last updated November 21, 2024, lists a level requirement of 50; LineaGaming’s current third-party listing labels it “Gate Lv 55.” Neither figure should be treated as an unqualified current unlock rule. Check the in-game requirement for your version and mode.
Why exact reward figures need a version check
Game8’s November 21, 2024 guide lists 49,148 Sollant, 42,052 EXP, seven Precious Weapon Growthstones, seven Precious Armor Growthstones, seven Precious Accessory Growthstones, and ten Rare Recovery Crystals. These are figures from that dated guide, not independently verified current rewards. Other guides differ, so confirm rewards in-game rather than combining values from separate listings.
