Tiger Fort Outpost is in Moonveil Mountain, Qinghe, southeast of the Tiger Fort Boundary Stone. You can attempt an optional chess encounter with Zhang Hu or clear the outpost by defeating its bandits and leader. On a first combat clear, plan to defeat 12 Tiger Fort Bandits before Zhang Hu, then claim the chest at the center of the fort.
Where to find Tiger Fort Outpost
Travel to Moonveil Mountain in Qinghe and look south for the Tiger Fort Boundary Stone. The outpost is southeast of that landmark. If you have discovered a nearby waypoint, you can fast-travel there and continue on foot; the guides do not establish a specific waypoint name or map coordinates. Game8 and NerdsChalk both place the outpost in this area.

Try the optional chess encounter
Game8 reports that approaching Zhang Hu from the entrance and choosing a non-antagonizing dialogue option can start a chess game. Winning it allows you to clear the fort. This trigger is guide-reported rather than confirmed by official game documentation, and the available guides do not establish whether this route changes the rewards.
If the bandits have already become aggressive, Game8 suggests fast-traveling away and returning to try the dialogue again. Whether that resets the encounter may depend on the game’s current behavior.
#1 Best Overall
Fight through the outpost
For the standard first clear, Game8 and NerdsChalk report 12 Tiger Fort Bandits followed by Zhang Hu. Game8 says repeat challenges require defeating seven bandits. The sources do not explain whether every repeat challenge uses an identical layout or enemy placement.
Combat walkthrough
Reduce the bandit group before entering
Game8 recommends dealing with side patrols first, then sneaking in and using Touch of Death where possible. It also describes placing explosive barrels behind the main building, drawing enemies toward them, and igniting the barrels with fire arrows. These are guide-reported tactics, not independently verified guarantees; adapt to the patrols and opportunities you see in your game.
Read Zhang Hu’s attacks
The guides describe his moves differently. Game8 calls out a red-glint charged attack with a long wind-up that can be parried. NerdsChalk describes a shield rush and broad slashes, advising a sidestep or dodge after watching the wind-up. Watch his animation before committing to an attack, and use the response that fits the move you see rather than assuming every attack has the same counter.
Claim the outpost chest
After defeating Zhang Hu, go to the treasure chest in the center of the fort and interact with it to claim the rewards. Game8 notes that claiming the farmable chest uses energy.

What rewards to expect
The two guides’ reward lists overlap but are not identical in scope or item descriptions. Game8 reports the following first-clear rewards:
- Constitution ×5
- Wind Beneath Wings: Page ×6
- Tale of Beasts and Heroes ×1
- Water Dragon Hymn player avatar ×1
- Dragon Key ×1
- Medicinal Tales ×1
- Oscillating Jade ×2
- Qinghe Exploration ×20
NerdsChalk also lists Coin ×3,200, an Outpost Cosmetic Chest ×1, an InnerWay Note: Custom Chest ×1, and Lv. 2 Ebon Iron ×15, alongside several overlapping items. Exact item names, quantities, and availability may differ. Check the reward display in-game for the current list rather than treating either guide as a definitive inventory.
Rank #4
For farmable rewards, Game8 says the contents vary with Solo World Level and can include random-tier gear, cosmetic and Crimson Leaves chests, Ebon Iron, Oscillating Jade, Zhou Coin, and character EXP. It also lists Wolframite Weight, Bluestone Lock, Beef Tendon, and Wooden Arrow among enemy drops.
