Why the board can be tricky
Connections presents 16 words that must be sorted into four groups of four. Some words may appear to fit more than one possible connection, so the challenge is finding the intended set of four. A wrong grouping counts as a mistake; Mashable’s guide says players can make up to four mistakes before the game ends. Correct groups disappear from the board, which can be rearranged or shuffled.
