The Wordle answer for November 6, 2026 is not yet published, and it cannot be known as of October 8, 2026. If you are searching for “Wordle November 6,” check the year on any result before using it. The answer that appeared on November 6, 2025 was GUISE, and it does not apply to 2026.
Why the year decides the answer
Wordle issues one puzzle per calendar day, and each date has its own answer. Search results rarely show the year in the headline, so a November 6 page from a previous year can rank just as high as a current one. Archive pages for November 6 of earlier years also appear in results, and they describe puzzles that are already over.
| Date | Puzzle number | Answer | Status as of October 8, 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| November 6, 2025 | #1601 | GUISE | Past puzzle, reported by All Things How on November 6, 2025 |
| November 6, 2026 | Not stated | Not stated | Not yet published; this is the puzzle this article covers |
| November 6, 2024 | Not stated | Not stated | Past puzzle; an archive entry appears in search results, but its answer is not verified here |
The only answer verified for this calendar date is the 2025 one. Do not use it for 2026.

How Wordle works, briefly
Wordle is a daily target-word game. You get six attempts to guess a hidden word. After each guess, every letter is marked by color: green for a correct letter in the correct position, yellow for a letter that is in the word but in another position, and gray for a letter that is not in the word. A 2023 arXiv paper, “Wordle: A Microcosm of Life,” describes the same six-attempt, color-feedback structure.

How to find the answer on November 6, 2026
- Wait until the puzzle is live on November 6, 2026, in your local time zone. Puzzles unlock at the start of each local day, so a result posted earlier in the day in another time zone may be for a different date.
- Confirm the date and puzzle number on the page before reading further. A current 2026 page should show November 6, 2026 and a number that follows the 2025 sequence number of #1601 for that year.
- Start with non-spoiler hints: the number of letters, the first letter, and any repeated letters.
- Move to letter-level hints only after you have guessed a few words. Use green and yellow letters from your own attempts to narrow the options.
- Read the full answer only after you have finished or given up on the puzzle.
Checks before you trust a result
- The page names the year 2026, not 2025 or 2024.
- The puzzle number matches the date. The 2025 sequence number #1601 was for November 6, 2025, so a November 6, 2026 page with that number is an error.
- The page was published on or after November 6, 2026. Pages from before that date cannot confirm the answer.
- The answer matches the letter count and letters you already see in your own game.
Starting strategy for any Wordle day
Good opening guesses use common letters such as E, A, R, O, T, and L, and they avoid repeated letters. Two strong starting words will usually reveal most of the vowels and common consonants. After that, use the color feedback to test where letters belong, rather than repeating letters you have already ruled out.
These steps apply to any day of the year, so they will also help on November 6, 2026 once the puzzle is available.
