The station also reported that a voicemail left by principal Heather Myers to arrange a Title IX meeting continued after her message and captured her telling colleagues, “When parents are crazy, my sympathetic voice kind of goes away.” Tomball ISD said Myers was on administrative leave while investigations continued. The allegation and any final findings have not been established in the reporting available through October 3, 2026.
What the family reported
Molly and Pablo Rucker told FOX 26 that their daughter said another student had touched her inappropriately in her classroom at Grand Oaks Elementary. The parents said they brought the concern to the school on Friday, September 25, 2026. Their account is an allegation reported by the family; the available coverage does not independently establish what happened. FOX 26 Houston reported the family’s account on September 29.
What the voicemail captured
According to FOX 26, Principal Heather Myers left a voicemail to arrange a Title IX meeting. After the message ended, the recording continued and captured her speaking with colleagues. FOX 26 transcribed her remark as: “When parents are crazy, my sympathetic voice kind of goes away.” The remark is attributed to Myers in the station’s account; the district later addressed it publicly.
What Tomball ISD said
In a letter dated September 28, Tomball ISD Administration said the campus had launched an investigation and reported its findings that same day. The district said it could not release specific details about student incidents because of confidentiality. It also said Myers was on administrative leave while the district continued investigating, and called her remarks unprofessional: “These comments do not reflect the professional standards we expect of our staff.” The letter’s description of the process and personnel response is the district’s account, not an independent determination of the underlying allegation. FOX 26 reproduced and reported on the letter.

The district said its investigation was continuing, and the reporting available through October 3, 2026, does not provide final findings about the student-safety allegation, Myers’s conduct, or any disciplinary outcome beyond administrative leave. Tomball ISD has not publicly disclosed student-specific details. The coverage therefore does not establish whether the allegation occurred, whether the district’s handling was proper or improper, or whether any law or policy was violated.
