AssetRipper

What it is

AssetRipper is a game-development analysis tool for examining Unity game files on Linux, macOS and Windows. It can locate accidentally included dependency assets, find broken asset references and flag code that could not be inlined or trimmed. It also converts assets to native Unity format. Unity Project Export creates a project that can be opened in Unity Editor, while Primary Content Export is designed for viewing content outside Unity, including in Blender, and exports meshes, scenes and prefabs as GLB models. Supported Unity versions range from 3.5.0 to 6000.4.X, with support quality varying by version. The free stable and nightly builds are available on all three desktop platforms. Premium access costs $10 per month while an eligible membership is active, and adds tools including shader decompilation, static mesh separation, prefab outlining and asset deduplication. DirectX shader decompilation works only on Windows. Traditional Il2Cpp analysis succeeds on about 10% to 20% of methods on x86 games, with lower success on other platforms. AssetRipper is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0.
