What it is
biomed is a free Minecraft biome editor for Java world saves containing level.dat and a region directory. Choose a biome and apply it to the map with Fill or Draw, then switch between biome and map views. Its Fix Snow/Ice tool adjusts snow and ice to match the biome: it melts them in warm biomes and adds them in cold ones. Open a savegame through File Open World or select the map's region directory manually, then save changes with File Save. The listed editing features focus on biomes and regions; terrain and entity editing are not included. The tool supports batch operations and runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, with GTK 2.x required. Precompiled downloads are listed for 64-bit Linux and 32-bit Windows. The project advises backing up maps before editing. biomed is released under the MIT license, whose terms permit use, copying, modification, distribution, sublicensing, and sale subject to its conditions. The license provides the software without warranty.
