What it is
Game Asset Tool is a free Windows utility for extracting, collecting, previewing, and diagnosing assets from visual novels and indie games. Users scan a game folder or supported file, then extract assets detected for its engine. A searchable results gallery provides filters, grouping, thumbnail presets, and a resizable preview panel. Built-in workflows cover RPG Maker, Ren’Py, NWJS, Electron, Unity, Godot, KiriKiri, WOLF RPG, TyranoScript, Java/JAR, HTML, QSP, and Android APK recovery. Experimental or recovery workflows cover Unreal PAK, Flash SWF, RAGS, GameMaker data.win, SRPG Studio, Pixel Game Maker MV, SPAK, and some unknown formats. It creates HTML reports with extraction summaries, diagnostics, skipped items, a health snapshot, and performance notes. Batch extraction is supported, and asset types include images, video, audio, meshes, and loose media. The maker says extraction works offline and the tool has no telemetry, though BepInEx downloads require internet access. Encrypted Godot PCK archives need a valid key, and some protected or custom archive formats are detected but not fully extracted. The tool is released under the MIT license.
