What it is

PlayStation Plus Cloud Streaming lets eligible members stream select games instead of downloading them, avoiding game updates and use of console storage for those titles. Cloud streaming requires PlayStation Plus Premium, listed at $19.99 a month, with recurring billing until cancelled. The streamable selection includes games from catalogs, digital libraries, and select free-to-play titles. Premium also includes Game Trials, and save data is stored automatically in the cloud during streaming. Resolutions are listed from 720p HD through 2160p 4K; Premium supports up to 4K, HDR at 60Hz, and PS5 audio outputs. A broadband connection with at least 5 Mbps upload and download is needed to start a session. Streaming is available on PS5 and PlayStation Portal, while supported devices also list PS4 and Windows PC. Portal streaming requires owning a Portal Remote Player and currently covers select PS5 games, not PS4 or PS3 titles. A PlayStation account is required, child accounts are ineligible, and availability is limited to listed countries.
