What it is
PolyMC is a free, open source Minecraft launcher for managing multiple instances, accounts, mods, worlds, resource packs, and shader packs. Each instance uses its own folder, keeping mods, resource packs, settings, and other files separate. The launcher supports Forge, Fabric, LiteLoader, and Quilt, and includes a catalog of modpacks from CurseForge, Technic, FTB, FTB Legacy, and Modrinth. Individual mods can be installed from CurseForge and Modrinth according to the selected loader and game version. PolyMC also provides Java runtime management, logs, and a way to stop Minecraft after crashes or freezes. Users can customize the instance window and theme. It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows at no charge. The current macOS build supports Apple Silicon; Intel Mac users are directed to a legacy universal build. Java version selection remains manual for each instance.
