The March 2022 roundup covered four practical skiing apps and six games. It was a curated list, not a ranked test, and its prices, ratings and feature counts are historical—not reliable current store details. Use it as a guide to what each entry was intended for, then check Google Play in your country for availability, compatibility and current purchase terms.
Choose by what you want to do
| Need | Pick from the 2022 list | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Follow competitions | FIS App | For FIS-governed events, not resort trip planning. |
| Compare resorts and conditions | Skiresort.info | Coverage breadth does not guarantee equally detailed information for every resort. |
| Plan a European ski trip | bergfex/Ski | Its described focus is Europe, especially Alpine and nearby markets. |
| Record runs and ski-day statistics | Ski Tracker | GPS estimates, phone placement, signal and battery life affect usefulness. |
| Explore a virtual mountain | Grand Mountain Adventure: Snowboard Premiere | Do not confuse the original 2022 entry with the newer Grand Mountain Adventure 2. |
| Race online | Ski Online Challenge 21 | The 2022 account of the game says online uploads and competition required website registration. |
| Play ski jumping | Ski Jumping Pro | A specialist jumping game, not downhill skiing. |
| Play retro, level-based skiing | Skiing Yeti Mountain | Its appeal depends on liking pixel-art presentation. |
| Play humorous arcade skiing | Ski Safari 2 | Tricks, vehicles and exaggerated action take priority over realism. |
| Dodge obstacles in a chaotic game | Skiing Fred | It is arcade action, not a ski simulator. |
The original list did not publish a formal scoring method or rank the entries against one another. The labels below describe their intended uses, not measured superiority. The 2022 descriptions and historical metadata are from Android Headlines’ roundup, published in March 2022.
Practical skiing apps
FIS App — competition news and results
The roundup described the FIS App as the International Ski Federation’s app, covering event news, live timing, results, highlight videos and photo galleries. Its listed events included World Cup, World Championships, Continental Cup and junior competitions. It is the natural pick for following competitions, rather than checking conditions at a holiday resort. Coverage can vary by discipline and event; the 2022 article’s description should not be read as a guarantee that every event has identical live features today.
Skiresort.info — broad resort research
For comparing destinations, Skiresort.info was the broadest resort-research option in the roundup. The March 2022 article reported approximately 5,700 resorts and 3,300 piste maps, with resort test reports, snow depths, weather, webcams, lift and slope details, ski-pass information, accommodation, rentals and lessons. Those counts and features are historical figures, not a current coverage audit. A wide catalogue is useful for shortlisting, but check the information for the particular resort and date you care about.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
bergfex/Ski — European and Alpine trip planning
bergfex/Ski was presented as especially useful for Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia. The 2022 article listed snow reports, weather, webcams, ski maps, accommodation, ticket prices and rentals. It also reported a nine-day Alpine forecast, more than 5,000 webcam feeds and more than 500 video-streaming cameras; treat those counts as a snapshot, not current guarantees. Its described regional emphasis makes it a sensible candidate for European trips, but not an automatic first choice for North American resort conditions.
Ski Tracker — GPS-based ski-day records
Ski Tracker was described as recording GPS-based maximum speed and distance, downhill and lift distance, skiing and rest time, mapped tracks, altitude and post-run statistics. Such figures are estimates, not instrumented measurements: phone position, signal loss, lifts and pauses can affect the result. GPS use, a bright screen and cold weather can also strain a phone battery. A tracking app is not an emergency device, so do not rely on it as your only safety or navigation plan.
Rank #2
- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
The roundup said the app had a 30-day trial before payment. That is a historical account of its terms; verify the present trial, price and purchase model in Google Play before installing.
Skiing games
Grand Mountain Adventure: Snowboard Premiere — open-world mountain exploration
The 2022 entry combined skiing and snowboarding in an open-world setting. The article described seven mountains, more than 100 challenges, over ten challenge types, cross-device multiplayer, controller support, wildlife, avalanches and sunsets. It said the free version was a demo and unlocking all mountains required payment. These are features attributed to the original roundup’s entry, not a current specification for every edition.

- Travel Must-Have for People On the Go: A must-have travel accessory for flights, flying, airports, air travel, airplanes, planes, international trips, cruises, and long travel days. Key gadget for your airport haul, travel accessories and must-haves.
There is a version distinction worth checking: the newer Google Play listing for Grand Mountain Adventure 2 describes a separate sequel, with a free first mountain and a one-time unlock for the rest. The listing says it supports offline play and controllers and was updated May 29, 2026. Do not assume the sequel’s current features or purchase model apply to the 2022 game.
Ski Online Challenge 21 — downhill racing with online competition
The roundup described 11 downhill tracks, recorded rides and online competition. It said players had to register and log in through the developer’s website to upload rides and compete; that requirement can make it a poor fit if you want an offline game without an account. Online features also depend on functioning servers, which may change over time. The article noted German as the default language and said English could be selected. Its use of “simulation” is comparative description, not proof of realistic physics.
Rank #4

Ski Jumping Pro — a focused jumping game
If ski jumping is the point, Ski Jumping Pro is the specialist option in this selection. The 2022 description included a career and Quick Jump mode, Casual and Pro difficulty, 62 events across 32 venues, character customization, more than 50 clothing and board accessories, and several control methods. Those counts and its reported purchase range are historical and should not be treated as current store details.
Skiing Yeti Mountain — retro, level-based runs
Skiing Yeti Mountain was presented as a retro-style game built around short, level-based runs. The article described hundreds of levels, tree weaving, ice, cliffs, unusual locations and touch controls. Its reported level count is from 2022, not a verified present-day total. It suits players who enjoy pixel-art presentation and repeating a compact challenge more than a realistic resort simulation.

Ski Safari 2 — tricks, vehicles and multiplayer
The roundup described two playable siblings, ski and snowboard options, snowmobiles and other vehicles, tricks, coins, unlockable gear and costumes, in-game photography, and head-to-head multiplayer. These arcade features make it a lighthearted choice rather than a realistic skiing tool. The developer’s official Ski Safari 2 site remains a product destination, but the site alone does not confirm current Android availability, price or update status.
Skiing Fred — chaotic obstacle dodging
Skiing Fred was characterized as high-speed arcade action: dodge hazards, drift, perform tricks and deal with traps, vehicles, storms and meteor showers. It is the pick for exaggerated chaos, not for faithful ski technique. The March 2022 article reported no in-app purchases at that time; current availability and monetization were not confirmed by the sources available here.

What to check before downloading
- Availability and compatibility: Confirm the listing is available in your country and supports your Android version; older entries may no longer be maintained or listed.
- Current cost: Distinguish a free download from a demo, trial, paid unlock, optional purchases or recurring subscription. Read the current store listing for the actual terms.
- Offline use: Mountain coverage can be unreliable. The 2022 article does not establish offline map support for its utility apps. Download maps or resort information in advance only where the app supports it; the Grand Mountain Adventure 2 listing explicitly advertises offline play.
- Accounts and servers: Check whether an account is needed and whether a game’s online features depend on active servers.
- Location and privacy: A GPS tracker needs location access to record routes. Review the app’s current permission prompts and Google Play data-safety information before granting access.
- Battery and cold: GPS, cellular searches, screen brightness and low temperatures can reduce battery life. Keep a power bank warm, and avoid treating a phone or tracking app as your only emergency device.
