The preorder bonuses for Total War: PHARAOH were a 2023 launch offer, and they are no longer tied to a preorder. Both cosmetic packs were later made available to every owner of the game. The special edition structure also changed: Creative Assembly removed the Deluxe and Dynasty Editions in December 2023, leaving a single edition for purchase. The European physical Limited Edition was announced in 2023, but that announcement does not show what is in stock today. This guide separates what was offered at launch from what you can get now.
What the launch-era preorder bonuses were
SEGA Europe and Creative Assembly announced the release date on September 12, 2023, and listed three preorder bonuses in the announcement, TOTAL WAR™: PHARAOH RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED:

The two cosmetic packs are now available to all owners
The later official release post for DYNASTIES, published by Creative Assembly on July 25, 2024, states: “The pre-order bonus Avatar of the Gods and Heart of the Shardana Cosmetic Packs are now available to all owners of Total War: PHARAOH.” That post is from The Total War: PHARAOH Team, in DYNASTIES is OUT NOW!. The packs should be described as former preorder bonuses, not exclusive preorder perks. Owners did not need to preorder to receive them.

How the edition lineup changed
In a message from Creative Assembly’s leadership team dated December 18, 2023, the studio said it had removed the Deluxe and Dynasty Editions and lowered the recommended price. The post was published in German. Its English translation reads: “Now there is only one edition of the game available to buy.” The post is available as A Message from Total War’s Leadership Team.
The recommended prices stated in that message were $39.99 / €39.99 / £29.99. These are 2023 figures, not current prices, and they were announced for the single remaining edition.

If you see a listing for a Deluxe or Dynasty Edition, treat it as a pre-December 2023 product. Its included items may not match what the current game offers.
The European physical Limited Edition
The 2023 announcement also said a physical Limited Edition would release on October 23, 2023 in Europe. It included the cosmetic packs and a double-sided poster featuring a stylised campaign map and portraits of the faction leaders.

The announcement does not state whether the edition is a disc or a download code, and it does not confirm current inventory or availability outside Europe. Check the individual retailer listing for three things before you buy:
- The seller’s country and whether it ships to yours.
- Whether the listing is for the Limited Edition or a Standard Edition.
- Whether the listing states its media format and that the poster is included.
If a listing does not state these details, the announcement alone cannot confirm them.
Does buying PHARAOH include DYNASTIES?
Yes, on the Steam listing checked on October 8, 2026. The Standard Edition page at Total War: PHARAOH DYNASTIES on Steam states that buying PHARAOH also gives you DYNASTIES for free. The same page lists Blood & Sand and the soundtrack as separate paid content.
DYNASTIES was announced as a “FREE EXPANSION-SIZED ADDITION” in a July 9, 2024 announcement from SEGA Europe and Creative Assembly. It released on July 25, 2024. According to the release post, it adds four new major cultures, 25 minor factions, 168 new settlements, and more than 150 new and reworked units.

What to verify before you buy
- Open the Steam store page and confirm the current price, region availability, and whether it still shows DYNASTIES as included.
- If you want a physical copy, confirm the edition name, media format, and poster on the seller’s page.
- Do not expect the 2023 preorder bonuses to be offered at checkout. The cosmetic packs were released to all owners, so you do not need a preorder to receive them.
