Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter has optional cosmetic DLC, including a What-If Costume Set and Glasses Set B. The costume pack adds alternate outfits and accessories for several characters; it requires the base game and is included in the Season Pass as well as sold separately.

What-If Costume Set
The Steam listing describes the pack as “A costume item set that lets certain characters change into their what-if costumes.” It names alternate looks for Estelle, Joshua, Scherazard, Olivier, Kloe, Agate, Tita, and Zin, plus additional hair, a mask, and sunglasses items. Glasses Set B
The catalogue also lists Glasses Set B, an in-game attachment set with several glasses designs. These are character cosmetics, not physical eyewear.
How to use the What-If costumes
- Launch Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter and open the in-game ITEM menu.
- Select the DLC tab to claim the costume items.
- Open the COSTUME menu to equip them.
Which game editions are required?
The What-If Costume Set is an add-on for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, not a standalone game. Nintendo’s Canadian listing identifies the original Nintendo Switch game and the Switch 2 Edition as compatible base-game prerequisites, and labels the add-on digital content: Nintendo Store Canada listing.

Is the What-If set included in the Season Pass?
Yes. Steam lists the What-If Costume Set as part of the Season Pass and also offers it separately. If you already own the pass, check your game library or DLC ownership before buying the individual set to avoid paying twice. The available listing details do not establish whether buying the pass is better value overall; that depends on whether you want its other contents.
Why do the listed release dates differ?
Storefront pages show different dates rather than one clearly established global release date: Steam’s DLC catalogue lists September 16, 2026, the individual Steam item listing gives September 30, 2026, and Nintendo’s Canadian page gives October 1, 2026. The listings do not explain the discrepancy, so use the date shown for the specific platform and storefront you plan to use.

Are the costumes timed or likely to be missed?
The official product details establish the set’s Season Pass inclusion and separate-sale option, but do not state an expiration date or a limited-time availability window. The listings therefore do not support a claim that players must buy the Season Pass immediately to avoid missing these costumes.
