You can add money to a UAE PlayStation Store wallet with a supported payment method or a region-matched PlayStation Store voucher. Sony lists American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Du, Etisalat and Apple Pay for the UAE. To redeem a voucher, enter its 12-digit code in the Store on the web, PS5, PS4 or PlayStation App. Check the account you are signed into and the voucher’s region before confirming.
Ways to add funds to a UAE PlayStation Store wallet
Sony’s UAE payment page lists these methods for Store purchases and wallet top-ups: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Du, Etisalat and Apple Pay. The method actually available can depend on the account and checkout flow. Sony says an account can save up to three credit or debit cards, one payment service and one mobile-payment number.

| Card | Sony lists American Express, Visa and Mastercard as accepted methods. Its saved-card setup table also includes Maestro, so check whether a particular card is eligible and accepted at checkout. |
| PayPal | Listed for UAE accounts. If a payment fails, verify the linked payment details or try another method. |
| Mobile payment | The UAE guide identifies Du and Etisalat. The SIM and PlayStation account must be registered in the same country or region, and the provider may impose spending limits. |
| Apple Pay | Listed by Sony for the UAE; confirm it appears in the current account’s checkout options. |
| PlayStation Store voucher | A voucher adds wallet funds when redeemed. Its region must match the PlayStation account’s country or region. |
Sony’s wallet funding guide gives these direct top-up paths:
- Web: Sign in to PlayStation Store, select your profile icon, then open Payment Management > Add Funds. Choose a payment method and amount, then confirm.
- PS5: Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Add Funds.
- PS4: Go to Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Wallet > Add Funds.
For mobile top-ups, use Payment Management > Add Funds on the web and select or add a mobile number. On PS5 or PS4, choose Add Funds > Pay by Mobile. The UAE mobile-payment guide requires a Du or Etisalat service and a SIM and account registered in the same country or region: Sony’s mobile payment instructions.

How to redeem a PlayStation Store voucher code
A standard PlayStation Store voucher has 12 digits. Redeem it on the account where you want the funds or content applied; codes are one-time use, and balances or content cannot be transferred between accounts. Sony’s voucher redemption guide lists these routes:
- Web: Sign in to PlayStation Store, select your profile at the top of the screen, choose Redeem Code, enter the code and select Continue.
- PS5: Open PlayStation Store, press Triangle to open the menu, choose More > Redeem Code, enter the code and select Redeem.
- PS4: Open PlayStation Store, scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and select Redeem Codes. Enter the code, then select Continue > Confirm/Yes.
- PlayStation App: Select the PS Store icon, open its menu, choose Redeem Code, enter the code and continue.
UAE currency change: check the current Store status
Sony announced maintenance for October 5–8, 2026, to change the UAE Store currency from U.S. dollars to UAE dirhams. Its currency-change guide says the Store would be offline during maintenance, with purchases unavailable, and sets the UAE wallet conversion at 1 USD = 4.00 AED. That is Sony’s stated conversion rate, not an independently verified market exchange rate. The announced maintenance window may have changed or completed; check Sony’s current currency-change notice before purchasing or redeeming.

Sony says existing U.S.-dollar PlayStation gift cards remain valid. After maintenance, redemptions of those cards are to be converted to local currency at the stated formula; existing wallet balances are also to be converted and rounded to the nearest decimal value supported in the country. Sony further says monthly spending limits previously set for child accounts need to be set again after maintenance.

A voucher’s country or region must match the PlayStation account that redeems it. Check the region label, denomination and seller before buying; a code for another region is not a workaround for an unavailable payment method. The UAE voucher terms limit wallet top-up code redemption to PlayStation account holders aged 18 or older. See the UAE voucher terms.

Child accounts do not have their own wallet and cannot add funds. A wallet top-up voucher intended for a child must be redeemed on the family manager’s account. The child can make eligible purchases using that adult wallet within the family manager’s spending limit; Sony says the default monthly limit is zero.
Wallet funds are spent before other payment methods at checkout, but Sony says a subscription bought with wallet funds may still require a payment method on the account. Wallet funds cannot be refunded. Voucher-funded subscriptions are not necessarily one-time purchases: under the UAE terms, renewals continue until canceled, and later fees are charged at the Store price applicable after the initial voucher period.

If a top-up or payment fails
- Check Sony’s accepted-methods page for the account’s country or region and verify the details linked to the payment method.
- Try another accepted payment method or fund the wallet with a region-matched PlayStation Store voucher.
- For mobile payment, confirm the SIM and PlayStation account are registered in the same country or region; check with the provider about its spending limits.
- If Store services may be unavailable, check PlayStation Network status and try again when service is restored.
- If funds or purchased content do not appear, check transaction history. For suspected duplicate funding, compare the Store transaction history with the bank statement; contact PlayStation Support about an accidental transaction. Sony’s UAE wallet troubleshooting guide covers these checks.
