uisy3201.dll is the RealNetworks UI System Library, and its absence usually means that a RealNetworks application installation is incomplete or damaged. It is associated with Common RealNetworks Products (32-bit), including older RealPlayer, RealDownloader, Rhapsody Download Manager, and related RealNetworks components.
The safest solution is to repair or reinstall the RealNetworks application that reports the error. Do not download uisy3201.dll from a random DLL website or copy it into a Windows system folder.

This is an application DLL, not a Windows component. It is not a normal Microsoft runtime such as Visual C++, DirectX, or .NET. Windows 11 and Windows 10 do not normally provide it as part of the operating system.
A legitimate copy may be found in a RealNetworks application directory, including locations similar to:
C:Program FilesRealRealPlayerRCAPluginsuisy3201.dll
or:

The exact location depends on the product and installation. A filename alone does not prove that a copy is genuine. Check its path, publisher information, and digital signature.
Because this is a 32-bit application library, a 32-bit RealNetworks program normally loads it from its own installation folders. A 64-bit Windows installation can run 32-bit applications through WOW64, but that does not mean the DLL belongs in C:WindowsSystem32 or C:WindowsSysWOW64.

This is the most likely fix for uisy3201.dll.
Find the program that is requesting the DLL
- Read the full error window and note the application name.
- If the error appears from a shortcut, right-click the shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- On the Shortcut tab, check Target.
- Note the executable path and folder.
- If the error appears during startup, open Task Manager with
Ctrl+Shift+Esc. - Select the Startup apps tab and look for RealPlayer, RealDownloader, Rhapsody, or another RealNetworks entry.
- If necessary, right-click the entry and choose Open file location.
Do not assume that every error containing this filename comes from the current version of RealPlayer. It may come from an older installation or a related RealNetworks component.
Reinstall RealPlayer or the identified product
If you still need the application:
- Close the affected program.
- Restart Windows.
- Open Settings with
Windows+I. - Select Apps.
- Choose Installed apps on Windows 11, or Apps & features on Windows 10.
- Search for RealPlayer, RealDownloader, or the product identified in the error.
- Select the application and choose Uninstall.
- Follow the uninstall wizard.
- Restart Windows again.
- Download the current installer from the official RealNetworks site, Real.com.
- Run the installer and allow it to complete.
- Start the application from its new shortcut.
If the program is not listed in Settings, use Control Panel:
- Press
Windows+R. - Type
appwiz.cpl. - Press Enter.
- Select the RealNetworks application.
- Choose Uninstall.
- Restart Windows.
- Install the official version again.
Real’s own reinstall guidance also notes that, in some cases, installing the current version over the existing files can restore a missing uninstall entry. After that, you can remove and reinstall the program normally.
Check the result
The repair worked if:
- The RealNetworks application opens without the DLL message.
- The program’s installation folder contains its required files.
- The error does not return after restarting Windows.
- Windows Security does not immediately quarantine the replacement file.
If the same message returns immediately, do not copy another DLL into the folder. Continue with the quarantine and dependency checks below.

Fix 2: Check Windows Security Protection history
Antivirus software may quarantine a file because of its contents, behavior, reputation, or location. A quarantine event does not automatically prove that the file was malicious, but it should not be ignored.

- Open the Start menu.
- Type Windows Security.
- Open the app.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Expand the event involving
uisy3201.dll. - Record the original file path and the threat or detection name.
- Check whether the path belongs to a RealNetworks installation.
- If available, open the file’s details and confirm its publisher.
- Run a scan of the installer before allowing anything.
Only restore or allow the file when you have confirmed that it came from a genuine RealNetworks installation and its publisher information is consistent. Microsoft warns that allowing an unsafe file can expose the device.
If the file came from an unexpected download directory, a temporary folder unrelated to RealNetworks, or an unknown executable, leave it quarantined. Remove the application that created it and run a full Windows Security scan.
If the file was quarantined from a legitimate RealNetworks folder, reinstalling the application from the official source is safer than restoring an isolated DLL. The installer can provide the matching files and dependencies together.

Fix 3: Check whether the DLL is missing or a dependency is missing
Windows error messages can be misleading. The message:
Error loading uisy3201.dll. The specified module could not be found.
can mean either that uisy3201.dll is absent or that Windows found it but could not load one of the libraries it depends on.
Check the file directly:
- Open File Explorer.
- Browse to the RealNetworks installation folder.
- Search for
uisy3201.dll. - If it is absent, reinstall the parent application.
- If it is present, right-click it and select Properties.
- Check the Digital Signatures tab if it is available.
- Check the Details tab for the file description and publisher.
- Note the complete path.
Do not replace an existing file simply because its size or version differs from a result on a DLL website. Historical RealNetworks components can have different builds, and there is no single version or size that is correct for every installation.
If the file is present and appears legitimate but the program still fails, reinstall the parent application rather than trying random Visual C++, DirectX, or .NET packages. There is no verified evidence that those runtimes are the normal fix for this file.
A dependency problem may require the application’s own installer, a supported RealNetworks update, or an error log. Record:
- The full executable path
- The exact error text
- The Windows version
- The RealNetworks product name
- Whether antivirus quarantined a file
- Whether
uisy3201.dllexists in the application folder
This information is more useful than the DLL filename alone.

Fix 4: Confirm the application architecture
uisy3201.dll belongs to a 32-bit RealNetworks product grouping. Architecture mismatches can prevent Windows from loading an otherwise valid file.
A 32-bit program needs 32-bit versions of its application libraries. A 64-bit program cannot load a 32-bit DLL as its own in-process library. On 64-bit Windows, 32-bit applications normally run through the operating system’s compatibility layer, but their files still need to remain matched to that application.
Use the application installer to resolve architecture problems:
- Uninstall the affected RealNetworks program.
- Restart Windows.
- Download the installer intended for the product.
- Install it to its normal application location.
- Start the program again.
Do not copy a DLL from another computer. Even if the filename matches, it may belong to a different RealNetworks product, build, architecture, or dependency set.
Do not place the file manually in:
C:WindowsSystem32
or:
C:WindowsSysWOW64
Those folders are not general-purpose storage locations for application DLLs. Copying files there can create conflicts and can cause Windows or another program to load the wrong version.
Fix 5: Do not use regsvr32 for this file
regsvr32 is not a general missing-DLL repair command. It registers DLLs that provide registration entry points such as DllRegisterServer, typically for COM or ActiveX components.

There is no evidence that uisy3201.dll is a COM or ActiveX server that needs registration. Running a command such as:
regsvr32 uisy3201.dll
is therefore not an appropriate default repair. It can produce another error without replacing the missing dependency or repairing the RealNetworks installation.
Use the application installer instead. Only register a DLL when the software vendor’s instructions specifically require it.

Fix 6: Repair Windows components with DISM and SFC
DISM and System File Checker repair Windows components. They normally will not restore a third-party RealNetworks DLL, but they can correct Windows-side corruption that prevents applications from starting.

Then run DISM:
- Open Start.
- Type Command Prompt.
- Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Approve the User Account Control prompt.
- Run:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for the operation to finish.
- Restart Windows.
After restarting, open an elevated Command Prompt again and run:
sfc /scannow
Wait until the scan reaches 100 percent, then restart Windows and test the RealNetworks application.
If SFC reports that it repaired files, test the program again. If it reports that it could not repair some files, run DISM once more, restart, and repeat SFC. If the DLL itself is still missing, reinstall the RealNetworks product because SFC does not normally supply third-party application files.
When running DISM and SFC manually, it can be difficult to identify which repair changed the result or why a scan stopped at an error. A display, audio, or storage driver is not the normal source of a missing uisy3201.dll error. Update drivers only when the RealNetworks program also crashes with broader graphics, audio, playback, or device errors.
Use Device Manager:
- Right-click the Start button.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand the relevant category, such as Display adapters, Sound, video and game controllers, or Storage controllers.
- Right-click the device.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows if prompted.
For a driver that recently caused problems:
- Open Device Manager.
- Right-click the device.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Driver tab.
- Choose Roll Back Driver if the option is available.
- Restart Windows.
Do not disable or replace drivers merely because uisy3201.dll is missing. The primary repair remains the RealNetworks application installation.
Finding the correct driver manually can mean hunting through hardware models and checking which of several installed versions is stale. - Select Next.
- Choose a restore point created before the error began.
- Select Scan for affected programs if available.
- Review the changes.
- Select Next, then Finish.
- Allow Windows to restart.
System Restore may remove a recent application or update. It is not a replacement for reinstalling RealPlayer, and it may not restore a third-party DLL if the relevant installation was already removed.
Windows Features are usually not involved
There is no Windows Feature that normally installs uisy3201.dll. Do not enable random legacy components to resolve this filename.

You can inspect optional features if another application specifically requires one:
- Open Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Optional features.
- Review installed features.
On Windows 10, you can also open Control Panel, select Programs, and choose Turn Windows features on or off. Do not enable a feature unless the affected program’s documentation requires it.

If the original RealNetworks program is obsolete, no longer supported, or no longer needed, uninstall it rather than rebuilding its old DLL set.
- Open Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Open Installed apps or Apps & features.
- Find RealPlayer, RealDownloader, Rhapsody Download Manager, or the related component.
- Select Uninstall.
- Restart Windows.
- Check Task Manager → Startup apps for leftover entries.
- Remove only entries clearly belonging to the uninstalled product.
If another program still reports uisy3201.dll afterward, inspect its shortcut and executable path. A leftover startup task or older RealNetworks component may still be attempting to load the file.
Prevent another uisy3201.dll error
- Install RealNetworks software only from the official RealNetworks source.
- Keep the application updated when a supported update is available.
- Do not use registry cleaners or DLL replacement utilities.
- Do not copy application DLLs into Windows system directories.
