They contain different Uncharted games: The Nathan Drake Collection bundles the first three adventures, while UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection bundles Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy. Neither collection includes the other’s campaigns. For the full mainline story, start with the trilogy and then play Legacy of Thieves.

PlayStation describes The Nathan Drake Collection as three fully remastered PS4 games. Legacy of Thieves remasters the two later single-player campaigns for PS5 and PC. Which should you play first?
If you are new to the series and want the story in order, play The Nathan Drake Collection first, followed by Legacy of Thieves. That takes you through games one to three, then Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy. This order follows the official lineup of the collections and their place in the franchise; the bundles do not include every Uncharted release.
Does either collection include multiplayer?
Legacy of Thieves Collection does not include multiplayer from the original titles. Its collection is built around the two single-player campaigns. PlayStation’s The Nathan Drake Collection listing likewise describes its included content as single-player campaigns.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose The Nathan Drake Collection if you want the first three campaigns or want to begin the series from the start.
- Choose Legacy of Thieves Collection if you want Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy on PS5 or PC.
- If you want all five campaigns in these bundles, you need both collections; buying either one does not provide the other’s games.
For physical editions, PlayStation Direct lists a PS5 disc edition of Legacy of Thieves. The official listing for The Nathan Drake Collection identifies a PS4 version.
