This walkthrough covers the 2024 Until Dawn enhanced edition for PS5 and PC. It has 36 Totems across six types, and finding all of them unlocks the An Omen? trophy. Important: the remake relocated the original Totems, so PS4 directions do not reliably match these locations.
Totems can be missed on a particular route, and some areas are revisited later. Follow the chapter and character cues below; don’t assume every path is mandatory in every playthrough.

What changed in the 2024 remake?
The original PS4 game had 30 Totems in five types: Death, Danger, Loss, Guidance, and Fortune. The 2024 edition adds six Hunger Totems, bringing the total to 36. PlayStation describes Hunger Totems as showing pivotal moments from the past. The complete set is required for the An Omen? trophy. This chapter checklist follows the 2024 PS5/PC placements in PowerPyx’s October 7, 2024 guide. The developers relocated all the original Totems for the remake, so don’t use a PS4 location list as a substitute.

Prologue
Death Totem 1
Once Beth is controllable, take the door to the left of the kitchen and go downstairs. Follow the path to the fence.
Chapter 1
Guidance Totem 1
From the cable car station, go left and keep to the left side until you reach the broken fence behind the car.
Chapter 2
Loss Totem 1
Inside the building, check the ground in the corner opposite the entrance to the small storage room.
Guidance Totem 2
Continue along the path beyond the shelf area.
Danger Totem 1
As Mike, go past the stairs before Jessica descends.

In the mine, after pushing the cart, continue straight instead of turning left. Follow the path to its end.
Loss Totem 2
After Jessica looks through the telescope and descends, turn around after the jumpscare.
Death Totem 2
After the swing interaction and picnic-table scene, check behind the table.
Chapter 3
Hunger Totem 1
At the beginning of Mike’s section, look near the vehicle.

After the heart-carved tree, take the left branch and follow it to the end.
Guidance Totem 4
As Chris or Ashley, check beside the stairs before entering the next room.
Chapter 4
Fortune Totem 3
During Mike’s rescue route, go downstairs in the building and take the right-hand route.
Hunger Totem 2
From the hut in the mine, turn back, go up the short steps, and enter the small passage.

On the snowy path, look in the small crow area between the birds.
Chapter 5
Danger Totem 2
Check behind the fountain near the fence.
Guidance Totem 5
Return to the place where the machete is picked up. Take the left route into the next area and stay left.
Danger Totem 4
As Matt, look for a break in the wooden fence near the cable car station. Go through it and turn right beyond the break.
Guidance Totem 6
After leaving the station, take the right-hand path to the small area.

Chapter 6
Danger Totem 3
After the deer section and before going upstairs into the tower, take the right path and stay right.
Loss Totem 5
Exit the tower, turn right twice, and search the corner.
Hunger Totem 3
In the basement intersection previously used during Sam’s Chapter 5 escape, turn right.
Chapter 7
Loss Totem 3
After the mine sequence, follow the path to its end.

After finding the miner’s family photo, climb the wall and continue to the intersection. Take the left branch to its end.
Chapter 8
Fortune Totem 4
After dropping from a ledge, turn around and walk to the end.
Danger Totem 6
Continue past the minecarts to the apparent dead end.

Look in the storage room in the sanatorium chapel.
Hunger Totem 4
Outside, check the graves by the barrels.
Death Totem 3
After the Wendigo sequence, you’ll choose between left and right doors. Take the left door first.

Loss Totem 6
As Ashley, after the group reaches the sewer entrance, turn right and follow the path to its end.
Fortune Totem 2
When prompted to investigate a noise or rejoin the group, choose to investigate. At the intersection, take the left branch. This Totem depends on that choice.
Death Totem 6
As Sam, after climbing a wall, turn left into the dead end. Avoid opening the nearby trapdoor; the guide warns that doing so can kill Ashley.
Hunger Totem 5
Take the left-hand route, jump down, then continue along the left branch to the Totem.
Chapter 10
Danger Totem 5
After finding the Scrawled Journal, return to the water and follow the route behind the water wheel.
Fortune Totem 5
As Josh, turn back and enter the dead-end area.
Fortune Totem 6
On the next intersection of the Matt/Jessica route, take the left branch.
Hunger Totem 6
After climbing out of the water, turn left immediately into the small dead end.
Checking your Totem collection
Use the in-game collectible menu to check which Totems you have found by type and number. If the An Omen? trophy has not unlocked, compare the missing entries against the chapter checklist and consider whether a choice-dependent route—especially the Chapter 9 noise investigation—was available in your run. Some locations can be revisited in later chapters, but a missed branch may require another playthrough path.
