As of 8 October 2026, Steam’s upcoming releases list shows exact dates in October and November 2026, along with broader windows such as Q4 2026 and Q1 2027. Those are the entries you can plan around, but only after you confirm them. A PC release calendar is a snapshot of what publishers and storefronts have announced on a given day, so every date below should be read with its source and check date attached.

What the current PC calendar shows

Steam’s upcoming list is the most direct view of the PC market, because each entry sits on a store page that the publisher controls. When the list was checked on 8 October 2026, its dated entries included releases on October 9, 13, 14, 22 and 28, and one on November 10, 2026. Those specific days are examples of the live calendar at that moment, not a full schedule. Steam’s display can also differ by region and language, and prices and listings can change without notice.

Editorial calendars cover a wider span. PCGamesN’s upcoming PC games schedule, titled as covering 2026 and beyond, was marked as updated on 26 August 2026, so it may trail newer announcements. GamesRadar+ publishes its 2026 release schedule month by month and keeps games without firm dates in a separate section. Use editorial lists to discover titles and to see how the year is shaping up; use the store page or publisher announcement to confirm the date itself.

Three kinds of entries, and how to read each

Every entry on a release calendar falls into one of three categories. Treating them the same is the most common way readers end up planning around a date that does not exist yet.

Entry type What it looks like How to treat it
Dated A specific day, such as October 22, 2026 The most reliable entry, but still a publisher announcement. Check the store page for the same date before wishlisting or pre-ordering, and note the date you checked it.
Window only A quarter or season, such as Q4 2026 or Q1 2027 A planning range, not a launch day. A title in a window can move to a later quarter, so do not schedule time around it until a firm date appears.
Undated Announced with no date, or listed as “to be announced” Confirmed as coming but with no timing. Editorial calendars often keep these in a separate section; follow the title for a date rather than assuming a season.

What each entry should tell you

A useful calendar entry gives you enough to decide whether a game is worth following. Check that each listing answers these questions before you rely on it:

  • Name and date status: the exact title, and whether the date is dated, a window or undated.
  • PC availability: whether the game is listed for Windows on PC. Cross-platform calendars include console-only titles, so do not assume a game in a PC roundup is on your platform.
  • Genre or premise: a short description of what the game is, so the entry can be filtered by interest.
  • Format: whether it is a full release, early access or a demo, and whether it is single-player or multiplayer where the store page says so.
  • Official link: the publisher or store page, and a trailer where one exists. A calendar listing does not prove that a trailer exists or that an existing trailer is current.

How to confirm a date before you act on it

  1. Open the game’s Steam store page and read the release date line. Note whether it is an exact date or a season.
  2. Check the platform list on the same page and confirm that Windows is included.
  3. Look for the publisher’s most recent announcement on its official site or social channels. If the store page and the publisher disagree, the newer official statement takes priority, and you should note its date.
  4. Compare with an editorial calendar, but only to spot changes. Remember that PCGamesN’s schedule was marked updated on 26 August 2026, so a newer date may already exist.
  5. Write down the date you checked, the source, and the entry type. A calendar you return to later should show those details alongside each title.

When sources disagree

Conflicts are normal in a live calendar. The usual causes are a publisher moving a date after an editorial list was last updated, a store page showing a window while an article quotes an earlier exact day, or a regional release date that differs from the global one. In each case, rank the sources by recency and authority: the newest official publisher or platform listing comes first, then the store page, then editorial calendars. Do not average or split the difference between two dates.

Practical setup for PC releases

A calendar entry tells you when a game is due, not whether your PC can run it. Minimum and recommended system requirements appear on each game’s store page, and those are the figures to check before buying hardware for a specific title. Do not assume a new machine is needed for every release; many titles run on existing systems, and requirements vary widely between games.

Scope of this calendar

This overview reflects what the Steam upcoming list showed on 8 October 2026 and what two editorial calendars published or marked as updated on their own dates. It does not validate every upcoming PC game title by title, confirm the current status of each trailer, or cover regional store differences beyond the note above. Treat the dates as a current picture to verify, not a fixed schedule.
