Choose No Man’s Sky for exploration and variety
No Man’s Sky suits players who want co-op to support a broader exploration sandbox. Friends can travel, explore planets, visit bases, take missions, and meet in the Space Anomaly. The Voyagers update adds multi-crew Corvette-class ships that players can invite friends aboard. Check platforms and editions before buying
Do not treat “crossplay” as a guarantee that every edition can join every other edition. Start by listing the exact platforms each player owns, then confirm the editions support multiplayer and crossplay for that combination.

Iron Gate’s 1.0 FAQ says the game supports crossplay between all platforms. For a cross-platform session, players can use a join code.
