The Verdania Map is an in-game item in Hollow Knight: Silksong. To reach it, progress the Green Prince storyline, enter Verdania from Craw Lake in Greymoor, then follow the path to a bench; the map is on the ground beside a dead pilgrim.
Where to Find the Map in Verdania
Verdania’s entrance is at the far eastern end of Greymoor, on the rightmost wall of Craw Lake. The Hollow Knight Wiki says the entrance opens when Act 3 begins; the GamesHedge walkthrough describes reaching it after the required Green Prince encounters. These are community and editorial guides rather than an official developer walkthrough.
Unlock Verdania
- Use a Simple Key to free the Green Prince from his cage in Sinner’s Road.
- Find him again in the Choral Chambers, then later in the Cogwork Core.
- Go to Craw Lake in Greymoor. Use the balloon to reach the path into Verdania.
Follow the path to the map
- Continue through Verdania and pass the Green Prince.
- Enter the small opening in the left wall.
- Cross the spike sections and climb to the next platforms.
- Continue right until you reach a bench. The map is on the ground beside a dead pilgrim.

Verdania and Lost Verdania: What’s the Difference?

The Hollow Knight Wiki says Elegy of the Deep opens Lost Verdania when played near the Green Prince. GameSpot’s Lost Verdania guide also places the song in Act 3 and describes using it at the Green Prince in Verdania Ruins.

Verdania’s Story
According to the Hollow Knight Wiki’s lore summary, Verdania was once a lush kingdom ruled by the Green Prince and his lover. The lover offered their body as the mold for the Cogwork Dancers in exchange for Verdania’s safety. The deal was not honored, and the kingdom became the desolate corridor found in the present-day area. This is lore as reported by the wiki, not a direct quotation from the game.
The Silksong Map page also identifies Verdania as a game area and distinguishes the ruined location from its Lost Verdania memory.
