For a damage-focused Careena, Game8 recommends Divine Fist, citing its attack buffs and high class-strike damage. It is not a proven universal best: the available guides offer qualitative recommendations, not controlled comparisons across stages or party setups. Divine Fist is also a later option, unlocked with the Salamando Candle in Chapter 4 according to Game8.
If you prefer physical melee, consider Dragon Master; for summons and support, consider Conjurer. The right pick depends on the role you want Careena to fill and which Elemental Vessel you have obtained.

Careena’s classes at a glance
Careena starts as Oracle and can take on eight vessel-based classes. Equipping a corresponding Elemental Vessel changes her class, weapon, class strike, and elemental plot; each character-vessel pairing has its own version of these features.
| Class | Element | Role or feel | Availability note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oracle | None | Careena’s starter class; used without an Elemental Vessel | Available as her default class |
| Dancer | Wind | Role details not stated in the cited class guides | Requires the corresponding vessel |
| Moon Charterer | Moon | Role details not stated in the cited class guides | Requires the corresponding vessel |
| Dragon Master | Water | Mobile physical melee with a lance’s reach and power | Game8 places it in Chapter 2; the vessel is the class condition |
| Divine Fist | Fire | Damage-focused; attack buffs and strong class-strike damage, per Game8 | Game8 places the Salamando Candle unlock in Chapter 4 |
| Warrior Monk | Earth | Role details not stated in the cited class guides | Requires the corresponding vessel |
| Conjurer | Wood | Support and ally-summoning, with a fan-based style | Requires the corresponding vessel |
| Starlancer | Light | Buff and damage utility, with access to healing magic, per Game8 | Requires the corresponding vessel |
| Maverick | Dark | Buffs, debuffs, self-healing, and group utility, per Game8 | Requires the corresponding vessel |
The roster and elemental mappings appear in Game8’s Careena guide and the class overview. The cited guides do not establish chapter unlocks for every class; treat chapter callouts as progression context, and use the vessel as the practical unlock check.

Which Careena class should you choose?
Divine Fist: a damage-oriented default
Game8’s recommendation favors Divine Fist for its attack buffs and high class-strike damage. It is a sensible starting point when you want Careena to contribute direct damage, but the source does not demonstrate that it outperforms the alternatives in every encounter or composition. Its Chapter 4 Salamando Candle unlock also means it is not an early-game choice.
Dragon Master: reach and mobile physical melee
Siliconera describes Dragon Master as a mobile lance class combining reach and power. Choose it if you value a physical melee approach and want a different weapon feel from Divine Fist. Game8 places Dragon Master in Chapter 2; the corresponding Water vessel is the relevant class condition.
Conjurer: summons and support
Siliconera characterizes Conjurer as a fan-based support class that can summon allies. It is a fit for players who want Careena to bring more than direct damage, though the cited material does not provide a numerical comparison of its contribution against other classes.

Maverick and Starlancer: party utility
Game8 presents Maverick as an option for buffs, debuffs, self-healing, and group utility. Starlancer combines buffing and damage utility and can learn healing magic. These are useful directions if you want Careena to support the party while remaining active in combat; the guides do not establish either as a universal upgrade over a damage-focused pick.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesHow class changes affect moves and abilities
Square Enix distinguishes learned moves from abilities. Moves learned on an elemental plot remain usable after changing class, while abilities are class-specific and active only in the associated class. Moves cost MP and can include spells or traps; abilities can change stats or provide other battle effects.
That distinction makes plot investment useful even when Careena is not currently using that vessel’s class: a learned move can travel with her, but a class-specific ability does not automatically stay active after a switch. Square Enix notes that abilities can improve stats such as attack or defense, as well as provide other effects that aid the party in battle.

Element plots, points, and starter-class customization
Element points advance elemental plots. Square Enix identifies Elementite and Gold Clover as sources, and says one Gold Clover can be exchanged for one elemental point. Special items expand plots, opening access to stronger skills and attacks.
Oracle is not simply a class to leave behind permanently. Square Enix says that maxing an elemental plot can let the starter class equip other weapons, assign class-specific abilities, and use other classes’ class strikes. This gives players a reason to develop plots beyond the class they currently have equipped.

Suggested Divine Fist seeds
Game8 suggests the following seeds for Divine Fist. Treat them as that guide’s recommendations, not as a tested best-in-slot build; Square Enix’s general abilities overview does not validate this specific combination.
- Blade and Shield Sigil
- Strength Sigil
- Critical Rate Up
- Critical Damage
- Wrath of Fire
- Beastly Force
- Untouchable
A practical way to decide
- Choose the job you want Careena to do. For a damage-oriented default, follow Game8’s Divine Fist suggestion; for lance-based physical melee, consider Dragon Master; for summons and support, consider Conjurer. For wider party utility, compare Maverick and Starlancer.
- Check your progression. Dragon Master is listed in Chapter 2 and Divine Fist in Chapter 4 by Game8, but the corresponding Elemental Vessel is the actual class condition.
- Invest beyond the current class when it suits your build. Plot moves carry across class changes, while abilities remain tied to their associated class. Plot advancement can also expand what Oracle can equip and use.
These class descriptions are guide judgments rather than results of a named statistical comparison. There is no supported numerical tier list that ranks Careena’s classes for every player or stage.
