GamesBeat described the deal as worth multiple millions of dollars, but said the exact terms were not disclosed. The Roblox experience is now listed as NFL Universe Football by Voldex and identifies itself as formerly known as Ultimate Football.
What Voldex acquired
GamesBeat reported that Voldex announced the acquisition on April 3, 2024. The outlet described Ultimate Football as one of Roblox’s top-grossing user-generated-content games at the time and reported that it had received more than 150 million visits over the preceding six months. That is a historical figure reported in 2024, not a current visit or player count.
GamesBeat characterized the transaction as multi-million-dollar, but the exact purchase price, valuation and deal structure were not disclosed. Voldex also confirmed the acquisition in a LinkedIn post, describing the combination as bringing its game-operating expertise and technology together with the game’s community and gameplay.
What happened to the creators and team
GamesBeat reported that the game’s co-creators and core team were to join Voldex. Jason, identified by the outlet as one of the creators, said the studio’s experience, resources and community-first approach influenced the decision to sell. He also described a shared roadmap focused on performance improvements, community-requested features and partnerships. Those were stated plans, not a guarantee that every item would be delivered.
