The NFL and Voldex announced the partnership on September 12, 2024, and said the rebranded experience would be available the following day. Its launch announcement promised all 32 NFL teams and uniforms, NFL-themed items, and several ways to play; the live Roblox listing now describes additional features, but those details can change.
What is NFL Universe Football on Roblox?
NFL Universe Football is a Roblox football experience developed by Voldex. In September 2024, Voldex and the NFL announced a collaboration to bring NFL intellectual property into the game, which had previously been called Ultimate Football. The announcement described the change as a rebrand of Voldex’s experience, rather than the debut of an entirely new game. The September 12, 2024 announcement said the rebranded game would be available September 13.
Is NFL Universe Football the same as Ultimate Football?
Yes: the NFL-branded experience grew out of Voldex’s existing Roblox game, Ultimate Football. The collaboration added NFL intellectual property and changed the game’s identity; it was not presented as a wholly separate title. The available announcement does not specify the licensing deal’s financial terms, duration, exclusivity, or renewal status, so the game’s continued presence on Roblox does not establish those details.
What did the NFL and Voldex announce?
The launch announcement said the experience would include all 32 NFL teams and uniforms, customizable NFL-branded items, in-game events and challenges, and multiple ways to play. It specifically described six-versus-six matches, practice mode, a gear trading hub, and park mode. These are features described in the launch announcement, not the results of independent gameplay testing.

The NFL’s stated rationale was to expand its engagement with Roblox users through exclusive content. Ed Kiang, the NFL’s vice president of video gaming, said the league had maintained a presence on Roblox since 2022 and that the Voldex collaboration would enhance its ability to engage users. Roblox sports partnerships head Lisa Willett emphasized the role of community and shared experiences in sports fandom. Those statements explain the organizations’ public framing; they do not establish measured audience results or deal terms.

That is the listing’s current description, not a permanent feature guarantee or a complete inventory of live content. Roblox listings and game features can change, and the listing’s update label is time-sensitive. Check the experience page for the current description and availability of specific events or items.
How have NFL events appeared in the game?
Roblox’s February 4, 2025 newsroom roundup described NFL Universe Football as the official NFL experience on Roblox and reported an in-game event for Super Bowl LIX. The activation included experiences and activities, special awards, limited-edition merchandise, and a stadium where players could join friends while representing the championship contenders. This is an example of how a sports partnership can take shape inside a game; it does not establish a continuing schedule of NFL events. Roblox’s account of its Super Bowl LIX experiences covers the event.

What do Voldex’s promotional figures mean?
Voldex’s brand-partnership page lists integrations such as branded locker rooms, custom cosmetics, helmet decals, stadium takeovers, mini-games, sideline placements, and event sponsorships. It also reports promotional metrics for two NFL-related activations:
- 55 million-plus locker-room impressions: Voldex reports this figure for an NFL Universe Football Super Bowl activation. The page does not state the year or explain its measurement methodology.
- 935 million-plus brand impressions: Voldex reports this figure for an interactive promotion tied to Netflix’s Christmas Day NFL live event. The page does not state the year or explain its measurement methodology.
These are company-reported campaign figures, not independently audited audience counts. They describe those promotions and should not be treated as player counts or as a performance measure for the NFL–Voldex collaboration overall.

They also do not provide independent validation of Voldex’s promotional metrics or a durable schedule of current events and items. The partnership announcement and live game listing establish the collaboration and the game’s NFL branding, but not those additional details.
