Overview

Servers are ready in under 90 seconds, and billing stops while a server is off. That is useful for groups that play in sessions rather than keeping a world running around the clock. The provider describes capacity as having no fixed slot limit, but performance still depends on memory and server load, making RAM the meaningful constraint when a community grows.

Plans list Ryzen 9 9950X processors, NVMe SSDs, and DDoS protection; the wider infrastructure also includes DDR5 RAM and a 10 Gbit/s uplink. Frankfurt and Salt Lake City are the named locations. These specifications give prospective hosts concrete infrastructure and region choices, though the right plan still depends on the demands of the group and its world.

Key features

World transfer: Upload an existing save through SFTP or the web file manager, a practical advantage for groups moving an established world rather than starting over.
Cross-play: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch players can join the same dedicated server, which makes this a strong fit for mixed-platform groups.
Mods: Upload mod files through SFTP. Every player must use the same mods, so this supports curated modded play but puts version coordination on the group. One-click mod installation is not offered.
Server management: The control panel can start, stop, and manage the server and display RAM and CPU use in real time. Automatic game updates reduce version upkeep.
Backups: Manual backups are available in the web interface; automatic backups are an optional paid feature. Groups that want routine recovery without remembering to make copies should account for that extra cost.
Security and support: DDoS protection is described as continuously monitoring and filtering attacks. Support is offered by ticket with a stated response within 12 hours, by email within 24 hours, and through community help on Discord.
API: The documented API can manage servers, backups, files, and databases, with an official TypeScript SDK. That is useful for technical communities automating server administration, but unnecessary overhead for groups relying on the panel.

Pricing

The plans below are billed for 30 days and include unlimited slots, a Ryzen 9 9950X, NVMe SSD storage, and DDoS protection. The listed prices use euros; pay-per-use billing charges by the second while the server is online, with no charge while it is off.

Plan	Price	RAM	Best suited to
2GB	4,83 € / 30 Tage	2 GB	Small groups keeping memory needs modest
4GB	9,47 € / 30 Tage	4 GB	Groups needing more room for a shared world
6GB	13,80 € / 30 Tage	6 GB	Communities that need additional memory headroom
8GB	18,03 € / 30 Tage	8 GB	Larger or more demanding groups
12GB	26,22 € / 30 Tage	12 GB	Groups prioritizing substantial memory capacity
16GB	33,12 € / 30 Tage	16 GB	Communities with the greatest listed memory allowance

The 2GB tier is the lowest-cost entry, but it also leaves the least memory for a busy or demanding server; higher tiers buy RAM, not more advertised slots. There is no free plan or trial. Automatic backups cost extra, so the cheapest price does not include the convenience of scheduled recovery.

Platforms

RespawnHost lists Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows alongside web and API access. For Core Keeper play, its cross-play support specifically covers PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch players joining the same dedicated server.

Who it's for

This is a sensible fit for cross-platform groups, players migrating an existing world, and communities willing to coordinate mod versions themselves. The off-time billing is particularly useful for groups that stop the server between sessions. Technical admins may also value the API and TypeScript SDK; groups wanting one-click mod management or automatic backups included in the plan should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Pay-per-use billing charges only while the server is online, which suits intermittent play.
Pro: Cross-play spans PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch, avoiding a platform split for mixed-device groups.
Pro: Existing worlds can be uploaded through SFTP or the web file manager.
Con: Practical player capacity depends on RAM and performance despite unlimited slots, so the entry plan is not a promise of unlimited headroom.
Con: Mods require SFTP uploads and matching installations for all players; there is no one-click option.
Con: Automatic backups are an optional paid feature, while the included manual path requires host attention.

Alternatives

Core Keeper server hosts is the broader comparison for players weighing other hosting providers for the same game. For another game and a different kind of server setup, consider CreeperHost ECO Server Hosting, which offers 4 GB RAM and 2 GB bonus memory on its Seed plan. Citadel Servers Atlas Hosting is an alternative for Atlas players who want DLC expansions and maps included, multi-server clustering, and no maximum memory limits or throttling.

Verdict

RespawnHost is a strong option for Core Keeper groups that need cross-play, straightforward world transfers, and the flexibility to stop paying while offline. Choose a plan by the RAM your group needs rather than the unlimited-slot label, and budget separately if automatic backups matter. Groups that want one-click mods or scheduled backups included should choose a different fit.
