सीधा जवाब: अगर आपका encoder YouTube को सीधे RTMPS भेजता है, तो Vultr पर inbound TCP 1935 खोलने की जरूरत नहीं होती। यदि outbound traffic सीमित है, तो Vultr और VM के firewall में outbound TCP 443 की अनुमति जाँचें। TCP 1935 inbound तभी खोलें जब encoder पहले Vultr VM पर चल रही RTMP ingest सेवा—जैसे Vultr Broadcaster—को stream भेजता हो। ये दो अलग network connections हैं।
पहले तय करें कि stream किस रास्ते से जा रही है
Port का चुनाव इस बात पर निर्भर है कि encoder किस endpoint से जुड़ता है। Direct publishing में encoder YouTube से जुड़ता है। Self-hosted ingest/relay में encoder Vultr VM से जुड़ता है, और VM फिर stream YouTube को भेजता है।

YouTube RTMPS, RTMP का secure extension है। YouTube की RTMPS troubleshooting guidance connection या SSL समस्या में URL जाँचने और जरूरत पड़ने पर destination port 443 निर्दिष्ट करने को कहती है। यह encoder या Vultr VM से YouTube की ओर outbound connection है। दूसरी ओर, Vultr Broadcaster guide port 1935 को RTMP port बताती है—यह उस Broadcaster/ingest setup के लिए है जो Vultr पर stream प्राप्त करता है।
Direct-to-YouTube RTMPS सेटअप
- Live Control Room खोलें: YouTube Studio में अपनी live stream खोलकर उसी stream का Stream URL और stream key लें। YouTube के encoder setup निर्देश इन्हीं मानों को encoder में डालने को कहते हैं। Stream key को password की तरह गुप्त रखें; इसे सार्वजनिक या अनजान व्यक्ति के साथ साझा न करें।
- Encoder में endpoint जाँचें: Live Control Room का वर्तमान URL और सही stream key इस्तेमाल करें। यदि RTMPS connection या SSL error आए, URL दोबारा जाँचें; YouTube की सलाह के अनुसार जरूरत हो तो destination port 443 निर्दिष्ट करें। YouTube stream settings भी Live Control Room से stream की मौजूदा settings देखने का रास्ता बताती हैं।
- Vultr की outbound नीति देखें: Vultr Firewall Group या VM का OS firewall outbound connections रोकता हो तो YouTube तक TCP 443 की अनुमति जाँचें। केवल inbound rules देखने से outbound समस्या पकड़ में नहीं आएगी।
- परीक्षण stream चलाएँ: Encoder से test भेजें और Live Control Room preview तथा stream health देखें। YouTube अपने streaming tips में event से पहले परीक्षण और stream health की निगरानी की सलाह देता है।
Vultr पर RTMP ingest/relay सेटअप
यह रास्ता तभी लागू है जब VM पर RTMP ingest सेवा वास्तव में चल रही हो और encoder पहले उसी को feed करता हो। Vultr Broadcaster app के संदर्भ में guide RTMP के लिए TCP 1935 बताती है। अपने server पर port, listener और configuration की पुष्टि किए बिना नियम न जोड़ें।

- पहले server endpoint और listener की पुष्टि करें: encoder में अपने configured Vultr hostname/IP और RTMP endpoint का उपयोग करें। जाँचें कि ingest सेवा चालू है और TCP 1935 पर सुन रही है। अगर आपने service को किसी दूसरे port पर configure किया है, नियम उसी वास्तविक configuration से मेल खाना चाहिए।
- Vultr Firewall Group खोलें: Vultr Console में Products → Network → Firewall पर जाएँ। संबंधित Firewall Group चुनें और सत्यापित करें कि वही group आपके VM से attached है। Vultr की Firewall Group rules guide के अनुसार नियम protocol, port और source IP के आधार पर आने वाले requests को filter करते हैं।
- केवल आवश्यक inbound rule जोड़ें: Protocol TCP, port 1935 और source के रूप में encoder के ज्ञात public IP या आवश्यक source range रखें। यदि अलग-अलग जगहों से encoders जुड़ेंगे, source scope उतना ही व्यापक रखें जितना आपके उपयोग के लिए आवश्यक है; अनावश्यक रूप से सभी स्रोतों को अनुमति न दें।
- VM का OS firewall भी जाँचें: UFW, iptables या firewalld में भी inbound TCP 1935 अनुमति होनी चाहिए। Cloud firewall में port खोलना OS firewall के नियमों को अपने-आप नहीं बदलता।
- Relay का दूसरा leg अलग जाँचें: यदि VM stream को YouTube पर आगे भेजती है, VM से YouTube तक outbound connectivity भी काम करनी चाहिए। Direct RTMPS troubleshooting में YouTube जरूरत पड़ने पर destination port 443 निर्दिष्ट करने को कहता है; अपने relay और YouTube endpoint के वर्तमान configuration के अनुसार egress जाँचें।
- Test और health जाँचें: Encoder से test भेजें, VM पर ingest की पुष्टि करें, फिर Live Control Room preview और health देखें।
Vultr firewall और VM firewall दोनों जाँचें
Firewall Group और instance के भीतर का firewall अलग-अलग layers हैं। Vultr की firewall troubleshooting guide दोनों की जाँच करने और inbound तथा outbound traffic को अलग-अलग देखने पर जोर देती है। जिस दिशा का connection विफल है, उसी leg और दोनों firewall layers पर नियम मिलाएँ।
- Direct flow: encoder/Vultr VM → YouTube। संभावित अवरोध outbound connection पर हो सकता है; जरूरत पड़ने पर TCP 443 जाँचें।
- Relay flow: encoder → Vultr VM:1935 → YouTube। पहले VM तक inbound ingest जाँचें, फिर VM से YouTube की outbound connectivity अलग जाँचें।
कनेक्शन न बने तो क्या जाँचें
- Encoder को Vultr पर connection नहीं मिलता: पुष्टि करें कि encoder सही public IP/hostname पर जा रहा है, service चालू है और configured port पर सुन रही है। इसके बाद Firewall Group attachment और inbound TCP 1935 rule, source IP scope तथा UFW/iptables/firewalld नियम मिलाएँ।
- Direct RTMPS publish विफल है: Live Control Room से URL और stream key फिर लें; endpoint का अनुमान न लगाएँ। YouTube guidance के अनुसार URL/SSL समस्या जाँचें और जरूरत पड़ने पर destination port 443 निर्दिष्ट करें। Vultr और OS firewall में outbound filtering भी देखें।
- Vultr ingest जुड़ता है, लेकिन YouTube पर relay नहीं जाता: inbound 1935 को सही मानकर न रुकें। VM से YouTube तक outbound leg, relay का destination और egress rules की जाँच करें।
- Firewall rules सही दिखते हैं, फिर भी connection विफल है: सुनिश्चित करें कि सही Firewall Group सही instance से attached है और OS firewall में अलग से विरोधी नियम नहीं है। Encoder error, VM logs और Live Control Room preview/health को साथ देखकर पता करें कि कौन-सा leg विफल है।
- Connection बनता है, लेकिन stream health खराब है: Port खुला होना bitrate या उपलब्ध upload bandwidth की गारंटी नहीं है। YouTube पर test stream और health monitoring करें; firewall connectivity और stream quality अलग समस्याएँ हैं।
