For PUBG MOBILE on a Windows PC, start with GameLoop: its PUBG MOBILE page identifies it as the game’s official emulator and provides a dedicated installation route. BlueStacks 5 is a reasonable third-party alternative, especially if you already use it. If you mean the native PC game rather than the mobile edition, download PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on Steam instead; it is a separate game, not PUBG MOBILE running in an emulator.
First, which PUBG do you want to play?
“PUBG on PC” can mean two different games:

If you want your PUBG MOBILE edition and account ecosystem on a larger screen, choose an emulator. If you want the PC shooter itself, skip emulation and get PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.
Best emulators for PUBG MOBILE

There is no neutral performance test in these published specifications, so a claim that one emulator always runs faster would be unwarranted. GameLoop is the clearest default because of its official positioning and dedicated setup. Consider BlueStacks if you value its wider emulator features or already use it, and accept that it is a third-party route.
Install PUBG MOBILE with GameLoop
- Open the official GameLoop PUBG MOBILE page and download the Windows installer from GameLoop’s site.
- Run the installer and finish setup, then launch GameLoop.
- In GameLoop’s Game Center, search for PUBG MOBILE and select the game result.
- Click Install and let both the emulator and game files finish downloading.
- Launch the game. It may download more assets on first start; sign in using a method supported by the game edition in your region.
The download is not necessarily just the installer: the game and its initial assets need time and disk space too. Game versions, file sizes, sign-in choices and regional editions can change. When the cited GameLoop page was checked for this article, it displayed PUBG MOBILE version 4.5.0 and a July 9, 2026 update date; check the live page for current details.

Install PUBG MOBILE with BlueStacks 5
- Download BlueStacks 5 from the official BlueStacks site; avoid installer mirrors.
- Install and launch BlueStacks. Sign in to Google Play when prompted.
- Search for PUBG MOBILE using BlueStacks’ search or store interface, or follow the installation route in BlueStacks’ PUBG MOBILE guide.
- Choose the correct listing for your region, select Install, and launch the game when it is ready.
- Check the keyboard mapping before a match. Open BlueStacks’ controls editor if you need to change it.
Do not use an unofficial APK or assume that a game listing for another regional edition is interchangeable with yours. Use the version officially available where you live.
Settings for a smoother start
Emulator performance depends on the PC, drivers, virtualization, Windows configuration, emulator build, game update, resolution and chosen frame rate. Treat these as starting points rather than guaranteed fixes:

- Check virtualization. If the emulator reports that hardware acceleration is unavailable, check whether virtualization is enabled in your PC’s BIOS or UEFI and consult that emulator’s instructions. Firmware menus differ by manufacturer, so there is no safe universal menu path. Reboot after changing the setting.
- Update graphics drivers and close unnecessary background programs before launching the game.
- Start with stability. Use moderate graphics and a frame-rate target your PC can sustain; raise one setting at a time. A stable frame rate is usually more useful than a high target that stutters.
- Use resources sensibly. BlueStacks recommends a high-performance profile, four CPU cores, at least 4 GB of allocated memory and high-frame-rate mode for its suggested PUBG MOBILE setup. Do not allocate nearly all of your PC’s CPU cores or RAM to the emulator; Windows and other tasks need headroom.
- Test before raising visual quality. BlueStacks says HD graphics and Extreme frame rate can support up to 60 FPS where available, and recommends turning off auto-adjust graphics for stability. That is a vendor recommendation, not a promise that every PC will reach or hold 60 FPS.
- Prefer an SSD when available. It can make loading less tedious, but it cannot compensate for a CPU, GPU or memory bottleneck.
Change one setting at a time and test in a training area before ranked play. This makes it easier to identify whether a change improved frame pacing or caused new stutter.

An emulator maps touch actions to keyboard and mouse; those controls are not identical to native PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS controls. Open the emulator’s control editor and confirm movement, aiming, firing, scope, reload, inventory, map and interaction bindings before a serious match. GameLoop advertises customizable controls and sensitivity, but its cited page does not provide a complete authoritative key-by-key layout.

BlueStacks’ published example bindings include W/A/S/D for movement, Shift to sprint, 3 to jump, C to crouch, Z to go prone, R to reload, M for the map, Tab for the backpack and F to interact or pick up items, with number keys for weapons and equipment. These are BlueStacks examples, not universal bindings; a game update, emulator profile or your own edits may change them. Mouse aim can also feel different from touch aim, so tune sensitivity in practice rather than carrying assumptions over from a phone.
Matchmaking, regional editions and account safety
Do not assume an emulator puts you into ordinary mobile-only matchmaking. PUBG MOBILE may detect emulator play and use different matchmaking behavior; queue times and opponents can vary with game edition, region, mode, population and update. The precise current policy should not be inferred from player reports, and no universal queue outcome can be promised. If matchmaking takes a long time, confirm that the game is updated and the correct region and mode are selected, then try a standard mode.

PUBG MOBILE availability is not identical everywhere. Global PUBG MOBILE, BGMI and other regional editions are not automatically interchangeable. If the game is missing from the emulator catalog, check whether it is officially available in your territory and whether you selected the correct edition. Installing a random APK or using a VPN is not automatically a safe or supported fix; BlueStacks warns that VPN use can carry account risks in restricted countries.
- Get GameLoop or BlueStacks only from their official domains.
- Never enter account details on a third-party download page. Keep two-factor authentication enabled where available.
- Avoid modified APKs, unofficial emulator builds, cheats, scripts, recoil tools and competitive-play automation.
- Do not treat an emulator launching the game as a guarantee that every feature, region or use case is supported—or that account enforcement cannot apply.
Troubleshooting common problems

Maybe you want the native PC game instead
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS is free to play on Steam and is a separate native Windows game. It is the better fit if you want PC-native controls and features without an Android-emulation layer, and you do not need the PUBG MOBILE edition or account ecosystem. Steam lists these requirements:
