The update is much broader than the band, adding a new setting, characters, factions, traversal and missions.
When did Warframe: 1999 launch?
Digital Extremes announced at TennoCon on July 20, 2024, that Warframe: 1999 was “coming this winter.” In November, the studio described the major update as slated for December. Xbox Wire reported on December 12 that it would launch the following day, and the expansion arrived on December 13, 2024. What is the On-lyne song?
“Party of Your Lifetime” is the song performed by On-lyne, a fictional boy band created for Warframe: 1999’s alternate-history 1990s setting. It debuted during the expansion’s gameplay demo. Digital Extremes’ July 2024 recap said the full track would soon be available to stream, with platform details to be announced starting July 21. How does On-lyne fit into the game?
On-lyne is more than a promotional band outside the story. Digital Extremes described the Technocyte Coda as Infested transformations of the band members, making them adversaries in the update. The November pre-release overview also listed Höllvania, the Hex syndicate, the Atomicycle, the Techrot and Scaldra factions, and Cyte-09 among the update’s features. What else did the expansion add?
The music was one part of a larger update. Warframe: 1999 takes players to Höllvania and includes the Hex cinematic quest. Xbox Wire’s December 12 launch article described seasonal variation in the setting; Digital Extremes community manager Danielle Sokolowski said, “At launch, players will first experience Höllvania in the dead of winter, with spring to follow, then summer, fall and winter again.” The feature overview also identified the Atomicycle, new factions and Cyte-09. At TennoCon 2026, Digital Extremes announced “Party of Your Lifetime” for Fortnite Festival, where it would be available to purchase with V-Bucks. The studio also announced “Running Late,” another On-lyne song associated with Fables & Frontiers, a later mini-role-playing adventure in Warframe’s K.I.M. system. The announcement did not give “Running Late” a release date. Fortnite Festival’s V-Bucks purchase and the 2024 announcement of streaming availability are different formats; neither announcement establishes current store or streaming status.
