Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf COD: Warzone Mobile is throwing errors or not working with a VPN, changing VPN settings will not fix it: Activision shut the game’s servers down on April 17, 2026, and says it is no longer available to play. This is a service shutdown, not a current VPN troubleshooting problem.
Why Warzone Mobile errors cannot be fixed with a VPN
Activision’s service-change notice says Warzone Mobile’s servers went offline on April 17, 2026, after which “the game will no longer be available for play.” A VPN can route a device’s internet traffic through another location, but it cannot restore a discontinued game service. There is no VPN location, protocol, DNS setting, or split-tunneling adjustment that can bring these servers back.
Activision’s official information does not establish that a VPN caused any particular past error, nor does it offer a VPN workaround. Historical VPN-related problems therefore cannot be diagnosed from the current service status alone; a specific error code and evidence from when the game was online would be needed to assess one.
Can you reinstall Warzone Mobile?
No official app-store reinstall is available. Activision says the game was removed from Google Play and Apple’s App Store in May 2025, as noted in its service-change information. Even if the game remains installed on a device, its client cannot connect to the shut-down service. Unofficial APKs do not restore server access and are not a way to make the game playable.

Do Activision’s usual connection tips still help?
Activision’s general connection tips include restarting the router and device, using a strong Wi-Fi connection, and limiting other applications that use substantial bandwidth. These steps can be relevant to Activision services that are still online, but they cannot resolve Warzone Mobile errors after its servers have shut down.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Purchases and refunds
Activision says real-money purchases for Warzone Mobile ended on May 19, 2025. Its service-change information also says refunds are unavailable for previously purchased content or unused COD Points; the announced redemption window ended when the servers shut down on April 17, 2026. Changing VPNs or reinstalling the game does not alter those policies.
