No. In PlayStation Plus’ March 2024 Monthly Games lineup, the Destiny 2 expansion was The Witch Queen, not Lightfall. Lightfall appeared in the May 2024 lineup, with a claim window that ended June 3, 2024.
Which Destiny 2 expansion was in the March 2024 lineup?
Sony’s March announcement named four Monthly Games: EA Sports F1 23, Sifu, Hello Neighbor 2, and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. The games were available to claim from March 5 through April 1, 2024. Sony specified that Witch Queen required Destiny 2, whose base game could be downloaded at no extra cost from the PlayStation Store. Sony’s March 2024 announcement lists the titles and dates.

When was Destiny 2: Lightfall on PlayStation Plus?
Lightfall was one of Sony’s May 2024 Monthly Games, alongside EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, and Tunic. Sony announced the lineup on May 1; the offer began May 7, and Lightfall was available until June 3, 2024. That claim period has ended, so it is not a current Monthly Games offer. Sony’s May 2024 announcement confirms the lineup and dates.
March and May Destiny 2 offers compared
| Monthly Games lineup | Destiny 2 content | Claim window | Platforms | Base-game prerequisite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| March 2024 | The Witch Queen | March 5–April 1, 2024 | PS4, PS5 | Destiny 2 required; Sony said the base game was available at no extra cost on PlayStation Store. |
| May 2024 | Lightfall | May 7–June 3, 2024 | PS4, PS5 | Destiny 2 required; Sony said the base game was available at no extra cost on PlayStation Store. |
These were expansions, not standalone base games. A PlayStation Plus member who claimed one still needed Destiny 2 to play it.

What PlayStation Plus members should know
Sony describes Monthly Games as a membership benefit: members can find them in the PlayStation Plus area on PS5 or PS4 and add or download them to their library. Monthly Games are added each calendar month and are available at no extra cost during an active membership. They are distinct from the Game Catalog included with Extra and the Game and Classics Catalog included with Premium. See PlayStation Support’s guide to Monthly Games for access details.
Sony notes that PlayStation Plus lineups may vary by region and advises checking the local PlayStation Store on launch day. The May announcement does not provide a complete region-by-region availability list, so the local Store is the appropriate source for territory-specific details.
