No. Return to Ash was free to claim on the Epic Games Store from February 19 through February 26, 2026. That offer has ended, so it should not be described as currently free. Epic’s listing showed it as a paid Windows game when checked; see the Epic Games Store listing for its current price and any new promotion.
When was Return to Ash free on Epic?
The Epic giveaway ran February 19–26, 2026. PC Gamer’s roundup identifies the game as part of that week’s free-game offer, and Steam’s listing also says it was free to keep on Epic until February 26, 2026. The claim period has passed; the offer does not mean the game remains free for new claimants.
If you claimed it during the window, check your Epic Games account library to see whether it is available there. If you missed it, check the live Epic listing for any current sale or renewed promotion. The price displayed when the listing was retrieved is historical, not a current quote.
What kind of game is Return to Ash?
Return to Ash is a single-player narrative visual novel developed and published by Serenity Forge. Released July 10, 2025, it follows Ashleigh, who wakes in an afterlife-like setting and meets other people in a strange purgatory. Choices shape relationships and the story’s ending; the store descriptions say it has multiple endings and estimate a complete playthrough at about 2–4 hours.
