Yes—the Overwatch 2 x Street Fighter 6 collaboration happened. Blizzard officially announced the event for May 20 through June 2, 2025. That confirms the crossover, but it does not prove that an earlier leak was authentic or identify who shared it.
What did Blizzard confirm?
Blizzard announced a limited-time crossover featuring eight Overwatch 2 heroes in Street Fighter-inspired skins. The event also included themed bundles, animations and visual effects, plus challenges offering up to 40,000 XP and themed sprays, voice lines, and a Street Fighter player title. Blizzard’s May 2025 patch notes also described the event as including eight themed skins, gestures, and cosmetic combinations.

The announced event window was May 20 through June 2, 2025. Those dates have passed; the announcement does not establish whether the cosmetics are currently available or whether the event will return. Blizzard’s event announcement and its May 2025 patch notes document the event details.

Blizzard said the skins were available individually and through bundles during the event. Its announcement described an Ultra Bundle containing all eight skins and two Mega Bundles. It did not establish current prices or availability.

Was the original leak proven authentic?
No. The event’s later official confirmation establishes that the collaboration was real; it does not authenticate the earlier leak. A May 6, 2025 video described the pairing as a rumor based on alleged PSN leaks and noted that Blizzard and Capcom had not confirmed it at that point. That is evidence of how the claim was reported before the announcement, not proof that leaked files were genuine.
Blizzard’s announcement confirms the event but does not discuss any leak or its source. The available sources do not establish who leaked the information, when any original material first appeared, or whether alleged files were authentic.

Can you still get the collaboration skins?
The documented event ended June 2, 2025. Blizzard’s announcement describes the original event window, but does not say whether the skins have since returned or remain available in the shop. Check current official Overwatch 2 shop information before assuming you can buy them.
