In Heartopia, unofficial guides associate Moonlight Crystals with premium items in the Acorn Store and other premium systems, while Wishing Stars are described as a currency for special purchases such as furniture and clothing. They are separate currencies, and the exact items available can change; check the in-game shop for its current catalog and prices.
How the two Heartopia currencies differ
| Currency | Uses described by guides | What is not confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Moonlight Crystals | Premium items in the Acorn Store and some premium systems, according to Heartopia.guide. | A current item-by-item catalog, prices, and earning methods are not established by the available sources. |
| Wishing Stars | Special purchases, often furniture and clothing, according to Heartopia.guide. Another unofficial guide also names hairstyles and recipes: TheGamer’s Heartopia currency guide. | A dependable current item list, prices, earning methods, and any event restrictions are not established by the available sources. |
What Moonlight Crystals are used for
Heartopia.guide describes Moonlight Crystals as a way to obtain premium items in the Acorn Store and to use some premium systems. That is a broad guide description, not confirmation of the current shop contents or a rule that applies to every premium feature.
TheGamer guide recommends prioritizing inventory expansion and quality-of-life upgrades over gacha banners. That is the guide’s spending advice, not a verified requirement or universally best use. Check the available offers in your game and decide whether a permanent utility upgrade or a chance-based offer better suits your priorities.
What Wishing Stars are used for
Guides describe Wishing Stars as a currency for special purchases. The examples they give include furniture and clothing; one guide also lists hairstyles and recipes. These examples should not be read as a complete or guaranteed current catalog. The in-game shop is the place to confirm which items are available to you and what each costs.

The unofficial guide at Pocket Tactics claims Wishing Stars are available during seasonal festivals and expire when each event ends. The available information does not confirm that rule officially, so treat both expiration and carryover as unverified. If you have stars left, check the event’s in-game notice or currency screen for an expiration date before deciding whether to save them.

What to check in-game before spending
- Open the relevant store or event screen and confirm which currency the item requires.
- Check the item’s listed price and whether the offer is currently available; guide examples may not reflect the live catalog.
- For event currencies, look for an explicit end date or expiration notice rather than assuming unused balance carries over.
- Compare the purchase with other options you actually want, especially before spending on a chance-based offer.
