In Blox Fruits, 20 completed Elite Hunter or Player Hunter quests give you a random chance to pull Yama; 30 qualifying quests guarantee you can obtain it. The current community-maintained wiki does not give a precise percentage for the 20-quest chance or the steps between 20 and 30.

These are quest-completion totals, not simply a count of Elite Pirate kills. You can combine Elite Hunter and Player Hunter quests: the wiki gives 15 of each as an example of reaching 30.
Which quests count?
Elite Hunter quests
The Elite Hunter is at Castle on the Sea. Accept the quest before fighting its target: defeating an Elite Pirate without first taking the quest does not add progress toward Yama. See Blox Fruits Wiki, “Elite Pirates,” updated September 24, 2026.
Player Hunter quests
Player Hunter quests also count toward the combined total. The Player Hunter is near the palace at Castle on the Sea, according to the Blox Fruits Wiki, “Player Hunter”.

Where to attempt the pull
Yama is in the Secret Temple behind the waterfall on Hydra Island in the Third Sea. Once you have built qualifying quest progress, go there and interact with the sword to attempt to pull it. The location is described on the Blox Fruits Wiki, “Yama,” updated October 2, 2026.

No dependable numeric rate is established by the cited current mechanics page. It describes a random chance starting at 20 quests and a guarantee at 30, but does not publish a percentage for 20 or for the intermediate totals. A secondary article calls the chance “very low” without giving a rate, so that wording cannot support a numerical estimate either: Games Learning Society, May 1, 2025.
