That version-specific description comes from secondary reporting, not an official PlayStation patch note located for this article. It is separate from the five Vicious Void Galaxy levels PlayStation announced in February 2025.

UpdateCrazy reported that Astro Bot version 1.007.000 became available on October 31, 2024, adding Spring-loaded Run as a Stellar Speedway speedrun level. The report says the level has two bots to rescue, bronze and silver trophies, and online leaderboard competition. UpdateCrazy’s version 1.007 report is the available source for those details; an official PlayStation patch note confirming that exact version-to-content mapping was not found.

In practical terms, the reported addition is a focused replay challenge, not a large campaign expansion. Its speedrun format and leaderboard competition give players a reason to repeat the level and improve their time.
How it differs from the 2025 Vicious Void Galaxy update
PlayStation’s official February 13, 2025 announcement describes a separate rollout: five Vicious Void Galaxy levels released weekly from February 13 through March 13. They should not be treated as part of version 1.007; the announcement and reported October 2024 update refer to different releases.

In the February 2025 announcement, Team Asobi Studio Director Nicolas Doucet called that later update “completely free of charge and a gift from us to you, the Astro Bot community.” The statement applies to the Vicious Void Galaxy rollout, not proof of the terms for version 1.007.
How to access the new levels
For the Vicious Void Galaxy levels, PlayStation’s stated requirement is to complete the main game. The official post does not provide a separate menu path or a more specific unlock procedure. For Spring-loaded Run, the available version-specific report does not state an unlock condition, so a precise access path cannot be confirmed from these sources.
