If you later make an eligible purchase or spend eligible in-game currency, the platform may attribute that activity to the creator. It is not automatically a coupon: unless the game or offer explicitly promises a discount, do not expect the price to change.
What happens when you enter a creator code?
A creator code is generally an attribution choice, not a purchase requirement. Entering one can connect eligible spending on that platform to a participating creator, who may earn compensation under that program’s rules. The code itself does not make you buy anything.
What counts as eligible activity depends on the game, store, or publisher. A code accepted by one platform may not work elsewhere, and the purchase rules are not universal.
Does a creator code give you a discount?
Not by default. The official descriptions from Epic Games, EA, and Supercell explain creator support or creator earnings; they do not promise that entering a code lowers the buyer’s price. Treat it as a discount only when the specific game or offer clearly says the price will be reduced.

How creator codes work on different platforms

How to enter a creator code in Fortnite
Epic’s instructions apply to Fortnite, not to other games. You can enter a creator code through the Shop or Item Shop:
- Open Fortnite and select the Shop tab.
- Select Support-A-Creator, enter the creator’s code, and wait for the check mark confirming it was accepted.
- Alternatively, in the Item Shop, use the banner with a star, enter the code, then select Apply. Epic Support: how to support a creator
Epic also says players can support a creator by following that creator’s link or entering a Creator Tag at Epic Games Store checkout. The exact route depends on where you are making the purchase.

Can entering another code change who you support?
For Epic accounts, Epic’s legal terms say attribution to one creator can change after the user enters another creator’s code or uses another creator’s link. The terms describe this at the Epic Account level; they do not establish a general attribution duration, and the rule should not be assumed to apply to EA, Supercell, or other platforms. What to check before entering a code
- Confirm the platform. Make sure the code is for the game or store where you plan to use it.
- Check purchase eligibility. Look for excluded subscriptions, offers, or purchase types in that platform’s current terms.
- Look for an explicit discount claim. Creator support alone does not mean you pay less.
- Confirm the selection. Follow the game’s on-screen confirmation and check its current help page if you want to replace a code later.
