9Pandas player Vladislav “Krad” Kravchenko was reported to have used a Desert Eagle whose stickers formed a racial slur during an online ESL Challenger League Europe match against Monte. Krad said he had not noticed the wording; reports first said ESL suspended him for two weeks, then said the suspension was extended to one month.
What happened in the match?
Insider Gaming reported on January 22, 2025, that Krad used the Desert Eagle during an online ESL Challenger League Europe match against Monte. The stickers’ arrangement spelled a racial slur. The report said the design appeared mirrored because Krad plays left-handed. The slur itself is not repeated here. Insider Gaming’s January 22 report.
What did Krad say about the stickers?
Escorenews reported that Krad posted an explanation on Telegram. He said he had bought the skin less than a week earlier and had not noticed the wording because he plays left-handed and it was mirrored. Escorenews quoted him: “Hey guys, saw the post about thе Deagle, I want to tell you that I bought it less than a week ago and didn’t notice the very word since I play with my left hand and it’s mirrored. Have a good and productive day!”
That is Krad’s account of what he noticed, not independent confirmation of what he knew or saw before the match. Insider Gaming also noted that the in-game weapon inspection view is right-handed even when a player has selected left-handed play. That context does not establish whether, or when, Krad personally inspected this particular skin. Escorenews’ January 22 report.

Was Krad banned, and how did the reported penalty change?
The reports describe two steps in the suspension timeline:
- January 22: Insider Gaming reported that Krad said on Telegram that ESL had given him a two-week ban.
- January 24: Escorenews reported that ESL reviewed the suspension and extended it to one month after a clip surfaced of Krad discussing the sticker craft on stream. Escorenews quoted a later Telegram message from Krad: “The ban has been reviewed. Now it’s a one month suspension from ESL. Guys, don’t repeat my mistakes. The price is high so learn from other people’s situations.” Escorenews’ January 24 report.
The one-month duration and the stated reason for the change are reported by Escorenews; no primary ESL notice was available in the cited coverage. The available reports therefore do not establish ESL’s own rationale beyond Escorenews’ account of the review and the surfaced clip.
