Do your items disappear when you break an Ender Chest?
No. The items are stored in an inventory unique to your player, not inside that one placed block. Minecraft explains that you can access your Ender Chest contents from any other Ender Chest, in any dimension. Breaking the block therefore does not make its contents spill out or delete them. How to move the chest without losing access to your items
- If you want the block itself, use a Silk Touch pickaxe. The cited reference says this lets the Ender Chest drop as an item.
