If support asks you for it, look in the game’s profile, Settings, Help, or About screens for a label such as User ID, Player ID, or UID. The exact location and name depend on the game.
What an in-game user ID identifies
The ID helps a game or its support team locate a particular player account or profile. It is usually different from the name other players see and from the email address associated with an account. Labels and account systems vary, so follow the terminology used by the game’s own support instructions.
For example, Big Fish Games Support defines an in-game ID as a sequence used to identify a player profile in free-to-play games. Its Mobile — What is an in-game ID? article was updated August 2, 2026.
Where to find your in-game user ID
Start with the game’s Settings or profile screen. Check near your username, and look for labels such as User ID, Player ID, UID, PlayerID, or PersonaID. If it is not there, check Help or About, or use the game’s official support page for its exact instructions.

How it differs from a username or another account ID
Display name and email
Your username or nickname is the name shown to other players; it may not be the identifier support needs. Candy Crush explicitly distinguishes its Game User ID from both an email address and a nickname. Do not substitute either unless the game’s support instructions ask for it.
Game-specific and platform-level IDs
An ID may identify you only within one game or app rather than across a whole platform. Roblox’s developer documentation describes domain-scoped IDs that can differ for the same user across games or apps, and notes that earlier players in a game can retain a prior global ID. See Roblox’s user documentation. Do not assume an ID from one game will work in another.

Game account and support account
A support account can be separate from the account you use in a game. Miniclip explains that its game account is separate from the support account created when contacting support. When asking for help, give the game name and the game’s account identifier or other details requested by Miniclip Support.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to do when support asks for the ID
- Open the game and find the ID using its Settings, profile, Help, or About area.
- Copy or save the identifier exactly as displayed, including any letters or numbers.
- Send it through the game’s official support channel, along with the other details the support form requests.
- If you cannot find it, consult the official instructions for that specific game rather than guessing or sending a different account name.
Saving the ID somewhere private can make it easier to provide if you need help later. EA says it needs the ID to find an account, and Big Fish describes its in-game ID as a way for support to locate a player profile.
