Bloodmoon Ursaluna is a distinct Bloodmoon form of Ursaluna, introduced in The Teal Mask expansion for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. It is a Ground/Normal-type Pokémon with the ability Mind’s Eye. The official Pokémon Pokédex lists it under the same National Pokédex number as standard Ursaluna (No. 0901) but treats it as its own entry, and it does not evolve.
What the official entry says
The official Pokémon Pokédex (Philippines site) gives Bloodmoon Ursaluna these details: the Peat Pokémon, male, 2.7 m tall, 333 kg, Ground/Normal type, ability Mind’s Eye, and no evolution. Its flavor text explains the form’s origin in a single passage:
“It crossed the sea and drifted ashore in a new land. Surviving in this place led it to take on a unique appearance and gain special powers.”
That line is unattributed Pokédex text. It describes the form’s backstory within the game, not a statement from a named developer or interview.

Typing and matchups
Because Bloodmoon Ursaluna is Ground/Normal, its weaknesses and resistances combine both types. The official Pokédex lists Grass, Water, Ice, and Fighting as its weaknesses. The Scarlet/Violet type chart in RotomLabs’ Teal Mask Pokédex (accessed 8 October 2026) gives the full picture below.
| Relationship | Attacking types | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Super effective (weakness) | Fighting, Water, Grass, Ice | Official Pokédex and RotomLabs |
| Resisted | Poison, Rock | RotomLabs |
| Immune | Ghost, Electric | RotomLabs |
The Ghost immunity comes from the Normal half of the typing, and the Electric immunity from the Ground half.

Base stats
RotomLabs’ Teal Mask Pokédex lists the following base stats. Base stats are the species-wide starting values; the actual numbers on a specific Pokémon depend on its level, nature, and training.
| Stat | Base value |
|---|---|
| HP | 113 |
| Attack | 70 |
| Defense | 120 |
| Special Attack | 135 |
| Special Defense | 65 |
| Speed | 52 |
| Total | 555 |
Special Attack is its highest base stat, and Speed is its lowest. These numbers describe the species on paper; they do not by themselves indicate how the Pokémon performs in battle.

Ability: Mind’s Eye
Mind’s Eye is the ability listed for Bloodmoon Ursaluna in the official Pokédex. In games, it ignores the target’s evasion boosts and prevents accuracy-lowering effects from reducing the user’s accuracy, and it allows Normal- and Fighting-type moves to hit Ghost types. Check the ability’s current description in the game before building around it, since in-game text can change between updates.
Signature move: Blood Moon
RotomLabs lists Blood Moon as the form’s signature move. It is a Normal-type special move with 140 power and 100 accuracy, learned at level 70. The high power comes with a drawback in the game: the move’s recovery restriction and other side effects are not covered in the database entry cited here, so consult the move’s in-game description for those details.

How to find it
RotomLabs lists Bloodmoon Ursaluna as a static encounter at level 70 in Timeless Woods. A static encounter is a fixed, single Pokémon placed at a set spot, rather than a random wild encounter. Because the form is part of The Teal Mask expansion, you need that expansion to reach the area. The database does not describe the steps to reach Timeless Woods, so use the game’s own map or a current walkthrough for the route.
How it differs from standard Ursaluna
Three points separate the two forms:
- Form status: The official Pokédex treats Bloodmoon Ursaluna as a separate entry that shares the Ursaluna National Pokédex number. It does not evolve from Ursaring.
- Ability: Bloodmoon Ursaluna has Mind’s Eye. Compare its ability list with the standard form’s entry in the official Pokédex rather than assuming they match.
- Stat distribution: Bloodmoon Ursaluna’s base stats above are the reference point for any comparison. Check the standard form’s base stats in the same database to compare them directly.
Physical trading cards
Bloodmoon Ursaluna and Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex appear on a 2025 Prismatic Evolutions card checklist from Midwest Cards. That confirms the cards exist as printed products, but the checklist does not show current stock or where to buy them. Owning a card has no effect on the Pokémon in the video game.
