It is the name other players see in EA games and on EA platforms. To find it, sign in to your EA Account and open Account Information.
Where to find your Origin ID (EA ID)
EA’s current account guidance uses “EA ID” and “Public ID” for this public-facing identifier. You can locate it either on the EA Account website or through the EA app.
On the EA Account website
- Sign in to your EA Account at EA Account.
- Open Account Information. Your EA ID appears in your account details.
In the EA app
- Open the three-line menu.
- Select Settings, then My account.
- Under My profile, select Manage to open your account settings. EA documents this route in its EA app guide.
Is an Origin ID the same as an EA ID?
For the public identifier players commonly mean when they say “Origin ID,” use your EA ID. Origin is older terminology; EA’s current help page calls the public identifier the EA ID and says it is how other players see you in games and on EA websites and platforms, including EA Forums and the EA app. See EA’s EA ID guidance.
What your EA ID is—and what it is not
An EA ID is not necessarily the same name you use on a console, in a particular game, or on EA Forums. EA lists platform account IDs and game- or forum-specific usernames separately from the EA ID. If you need a PlayStation Network ID, Xbox gamertag, or a username used only in a particular game, check that platform or game account. EA explains these distinctions in its account data guide.
