There is no single best Super Soul in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: the right pick depends on what you are doing and how your character is built. For progression, a July 2026 guide recommends “40 ton weights!” for experience gains and “My hobbies are reading and sports!” for Parallel Quest score XP; for Expert Mission team support, it recommends “Hmm Hmm Hmm!” for healing allies. Combat builds need a closer match between a Soul’s effect, trigger, and drawbacks.
Best Super Soul by activity
A Super Soul is an equipment choice that can affect combat or progression. The consulted guide says you can equip only one at a time, so choose for the job rather than trying to cover every need with one Soul. The recommendations below are reported by the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Wiki Super Souls guide; its exact effect figures are not independently tested here.

For experience farming
The guide recommends “40 ton weights!” for experience gains and reports that it doubles experience. Check that the bonus applies to the particular activity you are farming; this is not established as the best choice for every kind of XP gain.
For Parallel Quest score XP
For PQ score XP, the guide recommends “My hobbies are reading and sports!” and reports that it triples score XP. This is a progression pick, not a general-purpose combat damage boost.

For Expert Mission team support
The guide recommends “Hmm Hmm Hmm!” for healing allies during Expert Missions. It also names “Power of a Majin” and Zamasu’s Soul as survival-oriented options. Which is more useful depends on the mission and the team’s needs.
For damage-focused combat
Damage Souls should match the attacks your build actually uses. The community-authored Steam mechanics guide discusses attack-boosting options including “I’ve cast aside everything for this…” and “Before creation comes destruction,” with conditions and tradeoffs. Treat its explanations as community guidance, not an official ranking or independently confirmed current values; check the Soul’s in-game description and behavior before building around precise numbers. A build-oriented guide also discusses candidate Souls, but does not establish one universal winner: UMATechnology’s build-oriented guide.

How to choose a Super Soul for your build
Before equipping a combat-focused Soul, compare its effect with the skills and resources your character relies on. A large bonus can be a poor fit if it buffs the wrong damage type or comes with a costly condition.

| Activation | Does its trigger depend on health, timing, transformation, or another condition, and can you meet that condition reliably in your mode? |
| Tradeoff | Does the bonus cost defense, increase Ki drain, or impose another drawback that undermines your plan? |
| Build fit | Does it work with your character’s skills, race, and transformation? |
| Access | Can you obtain it through a quest, event, shop, story reward, or DLC you own? |

Where Super Souls come from—and what DLC changes
The consulted guide lists Parallel Quests, Expert Missions, raids, the TP Medal Shop, and story rewards as possible sources. Shop and event availability can rotate, and the guide does not verify the current acquisition route for each named Soul. Check the in-game source rather than assuming a particular recommendation is currently available through a specific activity.
DLC has added Super Souls, but that does not mean every recommended Soul requires DLC. Bandai Namco Europe’s official game page and DLC details list five Super Souls for Future Saga Chapter 1 and three for Chapter 2. Bandai Namco’s DAIMA Pack announcement, dated May 22, 2025, says the pack and its accompanying free update include Super Souls. Those listings establish that DLC and an update have added Souls; they do not establish that any of the recommendations above is exclusive to a particular pack.

Bandai Namco reports that Future Saga Chapter 4 became available in July 2026. The official game page lists PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam: Bandai Namco’s official Xenoverse 2 page. The newer DLC context is useful when checking the game’s current content, but it is not evidence of a new universal best Soul.
