The best Geo farm depends on how far you are and which route you can clear reliably. Early on, focus on Husk Guards in Forgotten Crossroads. Later, consider Great Husk Sentries or Kingdom’s Edge Hoppers; once you have access and can finish it consistently, the Colosseum’s Trial of the Conqueror is a repeatable option. No available comparison establishes one route as the fastest by Geo per minute.
Choose a route that fits your progress
Geo comes from enemy drops, deposits, chests, relic sales, rescued Grubs, and Colosseum Trials. Farming enemies is only one way to build a balance: exploration and saved relics can also help when you need money for an item or toll.
Early game: Husk Guards in Forgotten Crossroads
Husk Guards are a useful early target named by the Hollow Knight Wiki’s Geo reference. If you have Gathering Swarm, equip it to collect many loose drops as you move through an area.
Midgame: weigh enemy payouts against danger
In the City of Tears, Great Husk Sentries are a potential target. The Hollow Knight Wiki lists them at 170 health and a drop of 50 or 80 Geo per defeat; the reference does not establish which amount applies in every circumstance. They hit hard, so the payout may not be worth the risk if defeating one takes a long time or costs you health.

The Geo reference also names Hoppers and Great Hoppers in Kingdom’s Edge as possible targets. Choose between these enemies based on which you can defeat safely and repeat without frequent deaths or long recovery trips.
Later game: compare two repeatable options
Two later-game approaches are cited: replaying the Colosseum’s Trial of the Conqueror and farming Dirtcarvers and Carver Hatchers in the Failed Tramway. The Colosseum reference says an unlocked Trial can be challenged again without paying its unlock fee each time. The sources do not provide a verified repeatable payout for the Trial of the Conqueror or compare either route’s Geo per minute, so neither can be called the proven fastest.

For either option, judge the route by whether you can finish it consistently, how long a clear and reset take, and how much combat risk you can tolerate. Fragile Greed or Unbreakable Greed may improve qualifying enemy-drop returns on the Failed Tramway route, but they do not increase Colosseum rewards.
Use Geo-boosting charms for the right drops
Gathering Swarm collects loose Geo
Gathering Swarm is sold by Sly for 300 Geo, according to the Hollow Knight Wiki’s charm entry. It collects many loose Geo drops, including drops that would otherwise be awkward to reach. It does not collect Geo that falls into acid, and it does not collect some special rewards, including Trial rewards.

Greed boosts only qualifying enemy drops
Fragile Greed and Unbreakable Greed increase Geo from qualifying enemy drops. They do not boost Trial rewards, relic sales, chests, Geo deposits, or rescued-Grub rewards. Equip Greed for an enemy route where the increased drops apply, not as a general multiplier for every way of earning Geo.
Reduce the risk of losing carried Geo
Relics can be kept until you need Geo and then sold to Relic Seeker Lemm. The Geo reference says relics are not lost on death in the way carried Geo is, making them a useful reserve rather than something you have to cash in immediately.

If a risky farming run would put a large carried balance at stake, consider spending what you need or relying on saved relics instead of treating every enemy loop as guaranteed profit.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to decide whether a farm is worth repeating
- Access: Pick an area or Trial you have already reached; a route you cannot access is not a practical farm yet.
- Clear reliability: A route you complete consistently may serve you better than a more demanding one that often ends in death.
- Time and reset: Count the full loop, including returning to the route or restarting a Trial, rather than looking only at the payout from a successful clear.
- Charm fit: Greed applies to qualifying enemy drops, while Gathering Swarm helps collect many loose drops. Neither improves every Geo source.
- Alternative sources: Check nearby deposits, chests, Grubs, and unsold relics before committing to a repetitive enemy route.
These checks help you choose for your own progress and play style; the available references do not establish a controlled Geo-per-minute ranking.
